This is an out of character post where authors can introduce their incoming first years, and tell us a little bit about them so that people can see who will be in their year group.
Levi is a bit of a daydreamer, and very curious to know more about the people around her. The former is a trait that her mother and sister definitely don't approve of, and they're hoping that Levi won't create a bad impression. Her father is from a long line of magical people, and her mother is Muggleborn, but desperately wants to do everything possible for her daughters to fit into the magical world.
Cole Samwise Pierce is a friendly kid who is the son of two Teppenpaw alumni, and his cousins are Pecaris and another Teppenpaw (two of which are going to be sixth years, the other graduated a while ago, making him the baby of the family). He’s excited to finally get to start learning about magic, but he’s going to miss Boston and his family and friends there. At least he’ll get to see Mab and Alexander more often though!
Lenny holds strong views about a variety of social topics. He is a California Pierce raised on a steady diet of veganism, liberalism, being your best self, social and environmental activism, cyber schooling, and Elizabethan English.
And boys are totally allowed to wear pretty things. And his name is Lenny, not John. John is his uncle and nobody calls him by his legal first name.
Fortune is your average, middle-class, magical boy. He likes Quidditch, adventure stories, and is looking forward to growing up to be a great and powerful wizard.
He thinks school is going to be great, making friends, playing quidditch and finally learning how to use his magic.
Lazlo is a bit of a loner, partially due to nature, partially due to life circumstances, and partially due to frustration with communicating. He was left unable to speak after a childhood illness, so his primary form of communication is through a charmed book which provides sounds/words based on images he touches. It's a bit clunky so he generally prefers just to keep to himself whenever possible. He much prefers the company of animals to that of people, but his natural curiosity is often in competition with his desire to be left alone.
