Xander Faro

Xander is small for his age, a little bundle of energy with permanently-tousled hair and a ridiculous number of freckles.Whilst definitely white, his skin does get a slight olive tan in the summer, reflecting his mother’s Greek heritage. He has slightly too big ears, teeth that he has yet to grow into, and a wide, infectious grin.

Xander is a bubbly, cheerful child, who thinks the whole world is his friend and who always sees the good in everyone. He is not really naughty enough to be described as mischievous, but his energetic personality can sometimes carry him forward without thinking, leading to mishap. This is offset however, by the fact that he is almost always well-intentioned. Champion of small animals, being outside, and the aim of putting a smile on everyone’s face, it is hard to object to the slight whirlwind of chaos that he can leave in his wake.

Xander has been brought up in the countryside in Atlanta with his mother, father, and little sister. He has had quite an active and free childhood, with the inescapable tutoring sessions offset by the freedom to roam around the Faro property. His mother is muggleborn, with Greek immigrant parents, and his father is pureblood, but not from an especially prominent family. He has not been brought up to consider blood status and prominence to be of any importance, instead finding his identity in the sound of his family laughing together, the warm and comforting feel of his mother’s hugs, and the taste of his Yia-yia’s milopita. Xander has a younger sister, Thalia, and the two siblings are very close. He has faint memories of a small bundle of baby being careful passed into his arms, and ever since that moment, Xander has been Thalia’s devoted servant, guide to the world, and biggest fan. Outside of his immediate family, Xander has cousins who live nearby, although these cousins are quite a lot older than him.Despite his maternal grandparents being muggles, they still see a lot of each other, meaning that Xander is not unfamiliar with the muggle world (although his grandparents are not the most up-to-date!).
