Claire Osbrook

Claire is tall for a girl her age and not entirely coordinated yet. She has what she'd describe as "paleish, no-color", mostly straight shoulder-length hair, which she spends much of her time hoping will, as has happened to some of her cousins on her father's side, eventually darken to brown. She has a long, narrow face with a long nose and small mouth, all of which she imagines look more disproportionate than they do, and sharp, dark brown eyes which often look a bit more intense than she might intend in repose.

Claire's older brother, Graham, is also a Crotalus. On her first day of school, Tissena Randall shoved food in Claire's mouth and then declared they were best friends. Claire decided to go along with this since Tissena at least seemed bound to be an interesting person to watch. Within her own House, Claire really, really wants to be friends with her roommate Verdillia Scurlock, but sometimes finds herself flustered and feeling like she's going to make herself look foolish in conversation.
