Physical Description

Alexandra was of average height, with long dark, brown hair that stopped right below her shoulders. Her nose was a little crooked but that had never bothered her. Most said that her best attribute was her eyes: although at first, they appeared average, upon closer inspection most would say her eyes were large in size and a dark honey brown. People she met would fixate on them and stare longingly into them, it probably didn't help that the lashes framing her eyes were uncommonly long.

Background

Alexandra loved to dance and sing. She had never really performed in front of people. But whenever she was alone, she would sing to herself. On a walk through the forest one day, she noticed that as she sang, the forest had become eerily quiet, almost like it was listening to her. Alexandra also loved reading, so much so, that she slept with one under her pillow.

Family & Friends

Alexandra was the daughter of Sol Montoya and Frederick Borealis. Her mother was a witch from the jungles of the Amazon and her father was a muggle and had met when her father was exploring the more rural areas of Latin America. Her mother Sol was a quiet woman who spoke fondly about nature and the powers she saw in the world around her, and that intrigued Frederick so much that he fell hopelessly in love with her. Fast forward a few years and Alexandra was born of that love. When Sol realized that her daughter was also a witch she had to tell Frederick the whole truth. He loved his girls all the same, and from there Alexandra started to learn about both of the worlds that had made her, muggle and magical. She had often asked her father about his background, his answer was always the same: he had “magically” found an adoptive family that loved and cared for him. Her father loved the word “magic”, despite the fact, his life was not always magical. Grandpa and grandma Borealis had passed away when she was 3, so she didn’t really remember what they looked like, but her father had shown her pictures. She often dreamed of meeting them and wondered if they would have loved her too. She was sure they would have, as she had her father’s spunk, or at least that is what her mother always told her. But in looks, she was just like her mother and her family from South America. Her mother told her that their ancestors were created and molded by the gods themselves and they have been taking care of the earth since their earliest histories. And Alexandra believed it, she always had a need to care for the environment around her, she loved the ocean and the forest, she felt a living connection to everything around her. Her friends would describe her as feeling the world deeply. She knew her magical powers were the physical manifestation of that connection.
