Around the end of the feast, Derek had gotten bored and slipped out of the Cascade Hall to go up to Pecari and do something. Since the common room was boring with everyone either still at the feast or skipping the last few minutes and just coming in, Derek had decided to go outside and do something. He was thankful Pecari's common rooms were so close to the Labyrinth Gardens. He didn't have to walk so far, just walking was boring.
So the sandy haired boy got the volleyball he'd brought along, and walked outside. Derek wasn't much of a Quidditch person, he didn't like hights too much for one thing, but honestly he just found Quidditch boring and dangerous at the same time. Something nearly impossible, but Derek just had preferance against it. They really needed to get some Muggle sports here for people who didn't like Quidditch. Or maybe a few more clubs, no offense to that Echo kid but Derek couldn't write for the life of him. Some other clubs would be great though.
Derek found a clearing close enough and checked it's perimeter. Perhaps he could get one of the older students to conjure up a net for him. He could play volleyball here, it was a good area. But he'd need that net. And a few more people. For now, he only had himself and a volleyball. So for now, Derek only bumped the ball to himself walking around. Not as much fun as playing a real game, but it was better than sitting arpund doing nothing!
