Ginny found a seat in the stands to watch the game. The last game had Francesca sitting with her, something that Ginny couldn’t remember happening before as she couldn’t recall the last time there had been more than just the two teams playing. It had been nice to have someone in the stands with her for a change. Not that she thought Adam had cared if she were there or not. But, if she hadn’t been there, she would have never heard the end of it because then she would have been ‘unsupportive’ and somehow it would have twisted into something that she was doing to hurt his feelings. She didn’t want to deal with any of that. Which is precisely why she was here now. Quidditch wasn’t a game she would ever play and honestly, if Adam and Francesca weren’t players, she wouldn’t be watching now either. She respected the sportsmanship of it and the athleticism of the game, but the violence wasn’t something she understood the necessity of.
Midterm had been busy for her. She had spent most of her time at Canadian Society Holiday parties. Thankfully, most of the parties had her family around and Maxwell and his friends were also in attendance. The more she spent time with Maxwell, the more her feelings for him blossomed. They had started out as friends forced to attend social events at the same time but since he had been the only person she had been able to confide in last year, her trust in him had deepened and they had grown close. So much so that her grandfather was in talks with the head of his family. Ginny had been oblivious to any of this, but Max had informed her when she had seen him at their first holiday party.
To be honest, she wasn’t upset by this prospect. They had joked about it a bit during Midterm, but Ginny really wasn’t sure how he felt about possibly being married to her in the near future. It wasn’t something she had discussed yet with Francesca (and most definitely not with Adam), but she was wondering from another females perspective on how to take her feelings towards him and the idea of a future betrothal. Her only hesitation in the matter of talking about it was that she never really spoke about Maxwell to her Sonora friends. She wasn’t hiding him or anything, but there was still so much tension between them, even after her apologies, that she wasn’t really sure if they would care and Ginny was still dealing with her feelings for Adam that it might just confuse things if she mentioned Maxwell too.
She would think about all of that later. For now, she needed to focus on the game. It was a chilly day, so she wore a green sweater over a floral dress and black leggings. She brought an umbrella with her just in case the sky began to rain and also to protect her from the sun should the fog choose to lift. She wouldn’t be able to tell much in the fog, but hopefully her friends stayed safe with the poor visibility.
