Maybe it was kind of because she felt obliged, or maybe because she wanted to support her house or remember what it was like to have her sister around; no matter the reason Wendy found herself in the stands during the Quidditch game. She hadn't gone to the other game last term, but this time she felt that she should. The last time she had gone to a game was last year with her sister, and that was only because Waverly had insisted they go together. This kind of sport wasn't really her thing, but it was a little exciting to see her friends do what they liked. It was all just so different and more dangerous than the sports back in the non-magical world.
Part of the obligation that she felt was to her house, but mostly to Rupert. She was going to the dance with him and they had been friends for a little while, but she had never actually gone to a game to support him. He seemed really passionate about it too. Her fellow Prefect was the Assistant Captain now too, and Wendy was familiar with the Anns and Atlas. Liliana and Joella she knew less well, but at the very least she knew their names.
The weather was nice to be outside and Wendy couldn't pass up on that. It was a little foggy, but she imagined it would pass once the sun rose higher in the sky. She could always count on a scorching sun in Arizona especially during the spring and summer months. Though Wendy liked the cold a little, she much rather preferred spring and summer. It was part of the reason why she didn't think she would ever want to leave Arizona or the southwest. It got cold, sure, but places like North Carolina or New York sounded like a nightmare.
The game was just getting started when Wendy settled into her seat. She was wearing a brown spring jacket over a simple black-and-white striped shirt with dark jeans and brown combat boots. She hadn't brought a flashy sign or even a poster board that screamed PECARI, but she did stomp her feet and cheer as the Quaffle was thrown up.
"Go Pecari!" she shouted, not wanting to call any specific names since so many of her friends were on the team. She clapped her hands, keeping her eyes for a moment on the Quaffle before looking to see where Rupert was in the sky. They all looked pretty cool flying in their uniforms like that. Someone bumped into her from behind then. Since she was right at the front of the seats, she had to put her hands on the railing in front of her so she wouldn't crash into it and she gasped as her heart leaped at the prospect of falling. It was highly unlikely, but still scary just thinking about it and seeing the ground so far below. She turned to see who had bumped her.

Being a spectator alone and away from everyone.

Ginny’s anxiety was at an all-time high. Studying by herself in the Crotalus common room only told her how inadequate she was with the school work when she was working in it on her own. Even so, she didn’t want to be around her friends and she wasn’t comfortable enough to work with her other peers, thus making her stress with exams worse. On top of that, rumors of who was going with who to the ball was swirling around and of those rumors were the names Francesca and Adam. From what Ginny had heard, since she hadn’t really spoken to either of them, was Francesca was going with a teammate and Adam was going with one of the twins. It was exactly as Ginny had predicted. She was a little hurt that Adam had said to them before break that he wanted them all to go together and then ended up getting himself a date. It was proof that he hadn’t meant what he said and was excusing himself from it. Ginny was completely on her own now, useless and unimportant, she knew she wasn’t going to be asked, which meant not going at all, and her self-esteem had nearly vanished completely overnight.
With the stress over CATS and the ball, her anxiety was nearly unbearable. Her weight had dropped a bit, even a small amount of weight loss was noticeable on her small frame, from missing meals and stress, she had even cancelled some of the Dance Club meetings, preferring to be left alone than with a room full of people who were all perfectly happy with the school year. Plus, then she wouldn’t have to face Adam and the twins. Being around her friends only made her feel worse about herself. Despite her feelings, she knew that voicing them would only bring down her friends, so it was better to avoid them than being honest with them again as she had been before midterm.
This weekend, she would have stayed inside, working on homework or projects or maybe even dancing. Anything away and alone. The only thing that kept her from doing so was the Quidditch match. She wasn’t going to come to the game at first, but the guilt of not going when Francesca and Adam were playing was more than she could handle at the moment. So, she resigned herself to going and prepared for the crowd of students that would be in the stands. At least the weather would cooperation this time around.
Ginny came out shortly before the game was beginning, the Captains were in mid-handshake when she found a spot towards the bottom of the stands and away from most of the students. Usually, Ginny carried around a poster that was flashy and bright for her friends to see, but today, she just wanted to be invisible and blend in. When the game would end, she would just return to the common room and the routine for school work would start all over again.
