The advanced Divinations class seemed to have been doing well, and it was now time once again to officially assess where they stood as the term progressed. Today would hopefully help Professor Duell plan out the rest of the term and next term as well. Where did they need help and where should she focus her efforts?
To that end, the room was set up a little differently than normal. The round one-on-one tables were still scattered about the room, covered in their eclectic cloth coverings, as usual. However, each table held a different set of equipment. One had a piping tea set, while upon another set a crystal ball. There was a table with runestones, chicken bones, candles for wax drippings and so forth. As her students entered the room, she directed them to assigned stations, but warned them against getting to comfortable.
Once everyone was present, they found themselves paired up at the tables, and Giselle made her way to the front of the room. "Welcome class, I hope you are all ready for today's test. As you are aware, there are many stations set up today and the goal is to see how well you do at them." She waved her wand and a sheet of paper rose up off of her desk. "Upon this paper I have each of your names and the tables where you are all sitting." This was plain enough for the students to see, Professor Duell turned the page back to face her and she waved her wand at it. "Now it also has the next table which you will need to visit. Your goal is to use the implements at your table to discover your next table. At that point, your next location will appear upon the sheet. You will then go to that table and use those implements to repeat the process until you discover that the paper says you have completed your journey." She smiled, "If you go to the wrong table, the paper will let you know once you discover what is upon it."
"Feel free to converse with whomever may also be at your table, no two people will follow the same path so there is no advantage in coping someone else's results. Let me know if you have any questions, and you may begin."
OOC: If there are other areas you wish as options, let me know on Chatzy and I'll see if I can add them. Feel free to move about the tables as you progress.

2Giselle DuellAdvanced Divinations - Test time151715
Rosalynn entered into the Divinations classroom, and was surprised to have Professor Duell direct her to a specific table. Usually they were allowed to sit whereever they wanted (in Rosalynn's case, that was generally 'with Tommy' though she made sure to sit with Isla sometimes and occasionally even with someone else entirely). As Professor Duell explained the specifics of their test - which seemed to be a cool secret message scavenger hunt through divination techniques - she realized today she might very well sit with everyone in the class at one point or another.
She had been initially directed to sit at the table for palmistry. There wasn't much here but the little table's usual cute little table cloth and a little prop sign saying 'Palmistry'. She looked at her hand, but it was the same hand she always had attached to the end of her arm and she really wasn't sure how she was supposed to get a reading about which table to got to next from that.
She did have someone sitting with her though, so she didn't need to figure it out entirely on her own. "Any idea how we're supposed to figure out where to go from our palms?" she wondered in their direction, looking at her lifeline as she did. Depending on how she held her hand, it almost seemed to be pointing elsewhere in the room, as her three main lines almost pulled together to form an arrow, but surely it couldn't be that easy, and how was she supposed to know which way to hold it so it pointed the right way?
"And usually palmistry is for reading someone else's hand. If I read yours, does that tell me where to go or you where to go? I would guess you, because the technique is for reading the other person's future, but then our grade depends on the other person telling us where to go correctly - unless Professor Duell is accounting for that already . . ." Fortune telling was sometimes almost as rough to wrap her brain around as time travel plots.
Okay. Take it easy. Think it through. "I think it makes the most sense that my palm tells me where to go and your palm tells you where to go, right? She said collaboration was allowed, so maybe we're just supposed to help each other figure this out based on reading our own hand. Right? Do that make sense to you, too?"
