Figure we should talk about the kid in the school (DH Skies)
by Nathan Xavier
When they were first married and found out they were going to have a kid (not quite in that order, but the kid came after the engagement at least), Nathan and Isis had secured a small family suite in the school. As long as Theodora was a baby, they could all live right here, Deputy Headmistress Skies had agreed. It had been the easiest way to resolve the problem when the two professors in question had both been Head of Houses. As Heads, their duties did not end at curfew, and living on campus was really the only reasonable way to handle that.
Dora . . . was not a baby anymore.
She was walking. She was talking. She was doing the Teppenpaw jig. She was going to be three years old very soon, and within the next couple years, she'd start retaining significant memories for the rest of her life.
"Selina?" Nathan asked, knocking on the outside door to her office. When he was invited in, he took the visitor's chair and opened with the topic he had come to discuss. "I wanted to ask what you wanted to do about me, Isis, Dora, and living arrangements, now that Dora's getting to be an older toddler. I know we already overstayed the original agreement. We're talking about trying to find and move into a more permanent home over the summer, but how are we going to work Head of House duties next year, and how strictly is Dora not allowed back? She has bonded with a few of the students."
