After all the rest of the students had cleared from the classroom, she directed Asher to a chair in front of her desk, and motioned for her to sit down. Even under the circumstances, having to plan out some sort of discipline for this student, her expression was stoic. The wheels were turning inside Dione’s head, going over the different options. She could simply take points and have her clean the room and leave it at that, there was the traditional writing lines punishment, but that was far overused. Of course, she could always think of something more original.
But the way Asher admitted to being the cause of the parchment fight, though the way she used such an obviously fabricated story gave her the impression it was a complete lie, put the brakes on her train of thought. She was willing to shield her friends from impending punishment and take the blow on her own; that had to amount to something.
“So Miss Tallow, you know why you’re here, so let’s get right down to the business at hand. What sort of punishment do you think would be reasonable for this sort of behavior?”\n\n
