Okay, so a few things I'm putting on here so even if you missed them in chatzy or they scroll out, you can still see them.
Site Changes With the change in servers, I have made a few adjustments to the site.
1) Most of it is behind the scenes and not particularly of interest to most of you, but it makes my life easier.
2) There's a staff guide now linked here in the staff lounge, built largely off the google doc Alfie made. (Thanks, Alfie!) Please let me know if anyone has anything else they want to add to it.
3) There are probably a bunch of broken links I missed. If anyone sees any, please let me know where they are so I can fix them.
4) Staff and Student List and Student Application have reported bugs that I am addressing as soon as I can. If you see any other problems, please let me know. You guys are my testing team.
5) From the home page, we now have an "author sign in" link. If you all want to start making accounts and letting me know if that part works, that would be great. Right now there isn't a lot of functionality in there, but there are links to here and to the Staff Guide for staff members only. Eventually, we should be able to do track house points from there and they will immediately be reflected on the Cascade Hall. Also, profile editing will be done from there, once I get that set up eventually. Any other cool ideas are welcome for what we can do from this space. PMs? Sending emails without sharing email addresses? A suggestion box for . . . site upgrades, plot ideas, whatever?
I tried to register for this and it just sort of looped me around repeatedly. I'm not sure if I'm just not doing something correctly or what. If someone else is able to get in then I'll assume I'm doing something incorrectly.
The link from the point counter to the homepage doesn't work. There is an "edit pages" link from the point counter page that doesn't work...not that it really needs to, just reporting it.
I just did mine and it appears to be working, maybe it was a bug? What happened was I was sent to my email where I was given a temporary password. I then logged in with that and went to account settings to change my "user name" and password
My auto-generated emails weren't working before, but I think I got that sorted this morning. When you register, you should get an email with a verification code, which is basically a temporary password until you can create your own.
