So, there has been a change of plans. I trust you all appreciate how fickle life can be. It turns out Evan Clayton won’t be able to take over as Headmaster. Thanks to Evan’s author for taking care of us for most of this term, but he won’t be taking over permanently. Instead, Sadi will last out until the end of the year, and will be succeeded by David Regal – you currently know the author as Natalie Sims, our librarian. To recap: No staff changes for the time being, except finding a permanent Care of Magical Creatures professor (and we have a few apps I’m looking at just now).

Midterm, as you know, is coming along (There is a note about midterm in the chatzy I'd like you to read and answer ASAP if you could). It would be great if we could get in a staff meeting beforehand. So I have 3 meeting times to suggest to you. Wednesday 13th October at 2pm EST, Thursday 14th October at 3pm EST, or Sunday 17th October at 4pm EST. Obviously you might not be able to predict exactly where you’ll be at those times, but if there is any time you definitely CAN or CANNOT make please respond to this message with your details (don’t forget the timezone). Thanks!

As usual, any question, comments, etc., you know where to send them. Thanks for keeping up with the schedule and behaving for Evan and me over the past few weeks!

The only suggested day/time that could possibly work for me would be the 17th, due to school and rehearsals.

I would prefer Wednesday or Sunday. I have something to do that Thursday, I would be able to attend for a bit, but I prefer to be present for the whole meeting.

I'm working both of the weekday times, but I can probably come anyway (half my posts are written while I'm at work) if you don't mind me disappearing for a few minutes at a time if my boss walks by. Sunday the 17th is my new husband's birthday, so I'm probably not going to be able to make that one at all.

My days are limited during the week and the times you suggested during the week I'm in classes. So Sunday works best for me!

School and rehearsals make things difficult on week nights. Wednesday is a definite no for me. As things are, Thursday and Sunday both work for me, but my schedule is highly subject to change. (Oh, the lovely instability of highschool...)

I'd actually need to check with my parentals to see if we have anything to do on either of those times, and then I'll get back to you.

Definitely appreciating the fickleness of life just now; I've been constantly pressured for time this term, though that should clear up for good in a few weeks. Many thanks to you both for your running the place and putting up with my lesson delays.

As for the meetings...I'm afraid I can't make any of them, since I'm in class during the first and going to be out of town for a grandmother's birthday the other two. There's a slim chance I'll be back by four o'clock on Sunday, but...that's a very slim 'slim.' Very sorry about all this.

Off to the Chatzy I go...

I can make Thursday, but definitely not Wednesday since I'll be at work. As for Sunday, it's a tossup since I don't have my schedule yet. If I'm working earlier, I should be able to make it, but will be a bit late. Otherwise, that'll be a no go for me.

Okay, my sister has softball Sunday, so I have no idea what time I would be able to get home. Wednesday is still out, and if it's Thursday, I'll probably be late.

Sorry to be so inconvient!

Pretty sure that any date but the Sunday would work for me. I'm assuming I'll either be driving back to college or be at college and entertaining my grandparents that day. EST time :)

Okay, as we're failing on meeting times this week, I'm going to try mini-meetings instead. What that means is we'll have a meet today at 2pm EST, AND on Sunday at 4pm EST.

If you can make it today we'll banter around a few ideas. Then I'll pop them in an e-mail for everyone to read, and Sunday we'll have a second meeting to banter around them some more, and hopefully those who can't come today can come Sunday. You're very welcome to come to both. If you can't make either, you'll be able to reply to the e-mail I'll send out after today's meeting, and have your input that way.

Hopefully I'll see you in the Chatzy around 2pm EST today (if you come late then that's fine, too. Better late than never).
