Staff meeting summary by Sadi

Unfortunately Janette and Ichabod couldn't attend the meeting, but everyone else did, so that wasn't a bad turn-out. I have e-mailed you the full transcript to read at your leisure, but here is the summary.

- The plot this year is the Midsummer fair. We will incite Sonora's alumni students to return and explain to existing staff and students about their life since Sonora. In the evening there will be food and fairground fun. I encourage you all to think of suitable rides and/or events - so far we have ideas of a griffin-go-round, 'wronski feint' (tower of terror type ride), and old fashioned swings.

- We have also been invited to play soccer at RMI, so we will encourage students to sign up for this, and appoint student coaches.

- We have no librarian, so students can sign up to take shifts and supervising the library. Though having said that, ironically I received a librarian application the day after the meeting. This matter is now up for discussion in the chatzy - please offer your thoughts and ideas.

Sounds great – the soccer bit should be interesting at any rate XD

As for the fair, I was thinking it can’t be a legitimate fair without some sort of rollercoaster. To give it a magical twist, maybe it doesn’t even have tracks – it just has a tracks it starts and ends at, and the rollercoaster itself just zooms around after take-off every which way thanks to nifty charm work. Or it could be the classic muggle version, I guess.

And there’s got to be a raffle or some sort of booth so students can win stuffed animals or dead goldfish (at least, you win that stuff at muggle fairs). But instead of the typical ‘Can you hit this target?’ type booths, maybe something along the lines of aiming spells at moving targets or something…? I don’t know, I’m just tossing ideas around. *Sigh* I wish I was at the meeting even more now :/

Oh, and by the way, Sadi – I love the Divinations page :D Very nice job!
