Quiet? It's almost like the library, except colder...
by Guenther Heindrich
Guenther needed some fresh air. He had holed himself up in the library at every free moment, trying to prepare for his midterms since he had not been at school for the first part of the year.
He walked onto the quidditch pitch and sat down. Thinking in a quiet, open space helped him sometimes.
It was a bit overwhelming. The thought of failing constantly loomed over him. This was made worse by the fact that everywhere he turned, he was reminded of Kaleb.
He was surprised that noone had approached him about his brother when he arrived back at school. At home, it had seemed like everywhere he went people stopped his family.
Guenther was almost kind of glad that noone seemed to know. He had gotten so tired of all the attention. At the same time though, he felt as though life was going on too easily without his brother.
His brother may have been a pest, and he may have made a lot of trouble, but it disturbed him that it seemed that he had had no friends. Kaleb may have only been a first year, but surely he had friends in his year?
Guenther had missed his friends though. He still missed them as he had not managed to find them that morning.
He stretched, and pulled himself off the ground. Yawning, hands in his pockets for warmth, he started walking back to the library. He supposed he should have done something about his soaked pants, but he was just too exhausted from the day.
