The students were told to meet in the clearing for instructions on where they were meeting with the carriages. Kiva had left all that with John and knew that he would do just fine with getting them prepared for the weekend trip to the Horse Ranch. Since she hadn’t been able to spend much time with them in the lessons, Kiva wasn’t exactly sure how excited they were about the trip. Not with the CATS exams looming over their heads. But, she was hoping that at least the break from the mundane would perk them up and have them excited for when they arrived.“John, Simon’s been on the trip before, so he knows what to expect. Sadi hasn’t though, so, I’m not sure how well she’ll take to it. I’ll start them off by giving them the rules and introducing Mitch. After that, you have the actual lesson part. I’ll probably be stuck in the cabin for much of it, but I have faith.” Kiva had explained to him that morning before she had taken her portkey to the ranch. She was going to be meeting all the students at the ranch.
“I know animals aren’t your forte, but fresh air will be good for everyone this close to the fair and to the exams.” Kiva had said, holding the sock that was her transportation. “I’ll see you there.”
