Heading To the Retreat by Professor Kijewski

Today was the day of the Retreat. It was mid-morning and they were due to leave. Kiva was slightly nervous about going because she had never taken any number of students to a location outside of the school and so, she wasn't sure how well it was going to work out. But she needed this to work. She wanted this to be a part of the students curriculum for years to come. It was a great experience and she hoped they all came back with a better sense of how creatures can be amazing and fun.

Kiva had made sure that they left before noon so that they could be at the Ranch before dinner. But, it was difficult to be sure all the students arrived on time. Which is what they were waiting on now. It wasn't that they had to be there by dinner, it was just that, if they missed it, they wouldn't have food prepared for them. They would have to make it themselves and Kiva didn't think these students would want to spend time trying to make some food for themselves. And Kiva...wasn't about to play mom and serve them.

She gave another head count and a roll call and discovered that all the students and arrived. Glancing around and noticing the Staff members were there as well, Kiva quickly took charge. "Alright, There will be no more than five students to a wagon with one staff member with them. There are four wagons and less than twenty of you, so that's plenty of room. It's going to be a couple of hours until we reach our destination. I want you all to be on your best behavior and listen to your Chaperone."

The students bags were being packed away by the Prairie elves, which Kiva was eternally grateful for. "Remember, this is a school trip so you are to be on your best behavior. Okay, grab your friends and get on a wagon."

OOC: This is just the 'beginning' post to get it started. You don't need to respond to this. The real stuff is at the Retreat.
