As the meal drew to a close, Nathan finished off his conversation with Isis, and went to collect his youngest students. "Teppenpaws," he called out as he moved along the table frequented by that House, "Teppenpaw first years and prefects, please gather around me." Soon enough, he had three prefects and a gaggle of first years. He did a quick headcount and concluded he had them all."Everyone here should have turned yellow," he added, just to make sure he hadn't gotten a wrong student somehow, but he was pretty sure he had the right group from what he recalled from the sorting. "I am Nathan Xavier, the groundskeeper, and I'll be your Head of House for the next seven years. Please follow me and I will show you the way to our Common Room and dorms. Prefects, please come along and make sure nobody falls behind."
They headed out of the Hall, and once he was sure they had gone far enough that they had escaped the earshot of other House students, he stated, "You may recall from the tour that we are going in the direction of the Hospital Wing. We are not far from there, so if you get lost, feel free to ask any older student how to get there." Though, after working more closely with the medic last term, he hoped none of the children here had too many occasions to take that last turn instead of going up the stairs to Teppenpaw. She was . . . intense.
As they continued walking, Nathan was sure to point out some landmarks that he hoped would reinforce their earlier tour and help the new students find their way between the Common Room and the Cascade Hall when they went to breakfast in the morning.
