All Aladrens, Allons-y by Professor Yu
Diana was nervous. She had been asked to be the Head of House for Aladren- filling the previous Potions professor’s other role in the school. Accepting the position had been the easy part and she was excited to take on the new responsibility. So far it had been okay, but she’d never had to take a group of brand new students around the school to the common room before. She was glad that she’d had at least a term to get used to the layout of the school before she had to introduce a group of eleven year olds to it.After dinner, she stood from her place and, using her loudest teacher’s voice, called the new Aladrens to gather around her. “Welcome to Sonora,” she said once she was sure all the new Aladrens (especially Miss Willow who had nearly gotten lost finding her own table) had gathered around her. “My name is Diana Yu, but you are to call me Professor Yu. I am the Potions Professor here at Sonora. I do hope your dinner was enjoyable- I know my first meal was. If you would all please stick close together and follow me I will take you through the school and to the Aladren common room.”
She gave the first years a reassuring smile and turned to leave Cascade Hall, her blue robes floating lightly behind her.
OOC – You do not need to reply to this post, although you may if you wish to. This thread continues in the Aladren Common Room. You now have permission to post there and elsewhere in the school (except the other common rooms). You may also continue your threads at the feast, due to what we call 'fuzzy time' – where you can post in multiple threads at the same time, but they each take place at different times from your character's perspective, so he or she remains in only one place at a time.
Also, "Allons-y" means "let's go" in French. I just liked the alliteration of "All Aladrens" and wanted to continue it.
