It was the first time the Medic had returned to Sonora ruefully. Dylan loved his job, but he had met someone over the summer holidays, and was smitten. There were a lot of things he loved about his job, but long summer vacations were definitely the best perk it offered. He actually enjoyed his free time while his friends worked. It sometimes got boring, but those were small lapses in time. Thankfully, the girl he had met worked in a local magical school and was as free as him. It had been a nice summer indeed.
However, he was excited to be back nonetheless. He had been appointed Head of the Teppenpaw House. It made Dylan feel important. He now had more responsibilities at school and it was making him feel more grown-up than before. Healer School had been his first step and now he had to look after a house full of kids and the new additions. Admittedly, he was a little bit worried about doing a good job. Only Merlin knew what the students were capable of getting themselves into once they were in their commons. It was going to be an interesting experience, for sure.
The medic enjoyed his meal with the rest of the staff and clapped when it was necessary. He smiled in congratulations to the newly appointed Prefects and Head Students. It was an honor for them to sport to badge of authority and responsibility. It was a well-earned prize to years of hard work.
Dylan was nervous because he had no idea what to do, so when the other head of houses started getting to gather the new first-years he followed suit and began moving his arms in the air to get their attention when he reached the Teppenpaw table, “First-years! Please come with me.” He smiled reassuringly at new students. “Follow me. It is time to see your home for the next seven-years.”
And he had forgotten to introduce himself, “I am Medic Dylan Bailey, your Head of House.”
OOC: This is continued in the Teppenpaw Common Room.
