Kiva took a deep breath while she waited for her small advanced class to gather around her in Cascade Hall. She felt a little saddened by the fact that she was using the Mirage Chamber so much more with her older students than sitting outside in the sun with them, but, with the animals that they were learning about these last years of their school career there just wasn't any way around it. Well, unless she decided to grab a penseive and allow for her students into her past memories as a Researcher. But, she wasn't so sure Manfred would agree with such tactics or if she felt comfortable exposing her past experiences like that.
Her Seventh years were the very first couple of students Kiva had ever taught before. She couldn’t believe she was going to be seeing them graduate at the end of this year. It suddenly made her feel rather old knowing that she had witness the start of their education and the end of their primary education. She knew this was to come, but it still caught her relatively off guard. It had been this long since she had started? She had taken the job as a temporary reassignment of her researching career. When had she decided she had wanted to stay?
Lost in thought, it took Kiva a moment to realize her small Advanced Care of Magical Creatures class had gathered around her. Her eyes widened when she realized she had been spacing out a bit, but a smile lit her face when she realized she could begin. “Is this everyone?” Kiva asked, assessing each student to be sure they had the right amount before continuing. “Alright, everyone head on through the entry into the Chamber. Please do not leave the sight of the entry way though.” Kiva added, not wanting them to spoil the lesson for themselves.
