Teppenpaw First years! by Eavan Valentine
People were beginning to leave Cascade Hall in droves, and the heads of house were calling all the first years forward to lead them to their houses for the first time. All except the Teppenpaws. Eavan glanced around curiously for Professor Sutekh, but she was nowhere in sight. The first years around her were getting antsy. Should she do something? She was a prefect, after all. It was a weird thought but it was true. Taking a final glance around Cascade Hall for any clues or for Lexi and Pepper. Neither was in sight, so Eavan took a deep breath and stood up."Teppenpaw first years?" Eavan said as more of a question than anything else. A few people turned in her direction, but most failed to notice her.
"Teppenpaw first years!" she said with a little more confidence and volume than before. "This way, please!" She took a few steps towards the door and stopped, making sure that all the first years were following her. Elliot was standing right behind her practically hopping up and down. When she was sure everyone was with her. She smiled.
"Hi everyone," she started and gave each of the first years a nervous smile. "Uh, our Head of House, Professor Sutekh is busy, so I'm going to lead to your new house. I'm Eavan Valentine, your fifth year prefect. So if you can just follow me..." Her heart was beating rapidly. She didn't know she'd have to start her prefect duties so soon after receiving the honor.
