Kaylie sat at some out of the way place at the feast. There was nobody she wanted to see that badly and she especially wanted to avoid having what happened at last year's feast. It had been awkward and uncomfortable. Honestly, Kaylie just wanted out of Sonora. She wanted to graduate and get a fresh start and never look back.
She listened to Headmaster Bulla's announcements. Apparently Divination was no longer going to be offered. Now Kaylie was down to two classes, Transfiguration and Charms. That was fine. She liked Divination okay, but last year had just been a big paper. Surprisingly enough, Kaylie had managed an E on it but really it was giant pain. Besides, having a guidance counselor at Sonora was a really good idea anyway.
Next the prefects were announced. Kaylie clapped for Pepper, whom she found much more agreeable than Lexi, of course. Not that she would have minded working with Briony or Allie either. She wasn't all that surprised that Adam didn't get it for his house, even though Kaylie would have liked to see him get it. Still, she really wasn't too sure Adam would have even wanted the job.
Headmaster Bulla finished up his speech and food appeared. Kaylie took a plate of spaghetti and actually managed to eat it all, albeit slowly. Sometimes, her pain medication made her appetite decrease.
The feast wore on and the Heads of House called for the new firsties. Kaylie waited for Professor Williams to call for the new Teppenpaws so she could follow them out....and waited...and waited. Eventually, it was just the Teppenpaw firsties and some older kids left in the hall.
She didn't get why the new Teppenpaws were not being led. Perhaps, Kaylie would just have to do it. Those kids needed to be shown the way to the common room. Slowly, she rose. "Teppenpaw first years, this way" Kaylie called.
OOC-This is just a post to lead the first year Teppenpaws to their common room. You do not have to stop posting at the feast.
