Professor Kiva Kijewski could be spotted sitting in a seat to the left of the Acting Headmaster. She was smiling as she watched the students one by one sip the potion and be sorted into their rightful houses by the colors they turned. She was excited by how many actually turned blue. They would be her's to take care of. Of course, she hoped they would do her house proud. Sure Aladren's were a quiet bunch, but she could count on them to do what they needed to do.
Kiva sat in her seat wearing her new set of blue robes to match her house colors. Her last robes had been lost in the dust storm. She was still slightly miffed about that. She was usually seen covered in dirt and wearing outside clothing because of her job with working amonst the animals, but here, today, she was dressed nicely, hair in soft caramel curls, eyes shining with pride.
Of course, it was the end of the feast now and she had to do her duty as Head of Aladren House. She was to take the first years through the school and to their common rooms. Once there, she would establish the guidelines and then allow their little minds to do as they pleased. She stood from her seat and cried out to the students.
"All Aladren first years, please follow me." With that, she made her way to the common room.
OOC: There will be a post in the common room that will continue this. Also, feel free to continue with your threads here, I just wanted to give you the opportunity to post elsewhere by doing this now.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dione watched as Kiva called her new students to follow her to the common room. Professor Kijewski’s robes were a violent contrast to Dione’s. With her peaceful blue robes and caramel curls, she looked the part of a kind-hearted seraph. The opposite could be said about Dione.
As the Head of Crotalus, she felt compelled to wear something that showed her connection to the house. Instead of wearing her usual plain black robes, she wore black silken ones, the cuffs, hem, and high collar decorated with red and silver embroidery. Though what was particularly striking was the brooch pinned to the collar, right at her throat; it was a silver rattlesnake with ruby eyes that seemed to have an inner fire. However, even with her new attire, she was still the same Dione: same black hair tied into a tight bun, same cold eyes, same stoic expression.
Shortly after Kiva called the Aladrens, she stood up herself. After waiting a moment for the Aladren first years to leave the Hall, Dione called out for her own students. “Crotalus first years. Follow me to your common room.”
Her eyes followed each new student as they stood, fresh young minds with the potential to excel or fail. Though she would do her best to guide them, it would be in their hands to decide and theirs alone. But first, they would need to find their way to their dormitories.

Marian hadn't paid much attention to the new first year Pecaris after the sorting had finished. They had seemed like a rather self-sufficient group so far, and fortunately, no one seemed as eager for complete mayhem as a few of the third years.
She did notice a tiny bit of food throwing, but decided not to comment on it. It was their first day here, and as long as they didn't go overboard, there didn't seem to be a point in scolding them about something so trivial.
So she sat patiently at the staff table, conversing with one of the new instructors while waiting for the students to finish eating. It didn't take that long, and so after Kiva and Dione had led their students out of Cascade, she in turn stood up and called out, "Pecari first years, follow me."
As she waited a few moments for all her students to gather, she shot a look at the acting-headmaster, who, knowing him and his dislike for the chaos her house sometimes caused, wanted to be sure her students did nothing problematic.
Rolling her eyes, she muttered under her breath so quietly only he would be able to hear, "You see? Nothing's blown up or anything of the sort. All the first years won't be like the Cravens. A little faith would be lovely," before leading her new pupils out of Cascade Hall and into the Labyrinth Gardens.
OOC- Once again, this post will continue in the Pecari common room, but, as has been said several times, you now may post almost everywhere else.\n\n

If Lucinda had been there, Manfred wouldn't have had a qualm (well, not an publically expressible one) about leaving early to take the new Teppenpaws to their commonroom. As things were, he felt constrained by his new duties to be the last of the Heads of Houses to leave the Cascade Hall, something which obviously bothered Connell.
"You see? Nothing's blown up or anything of the sort. All the first years won't be like the Cravens. A little faith would be lovely."
He looked at her, formal mask in perfect position. There was the point that the Cravens hadn't caused him any problems since their little adventure in the Gardens during the Duststorm, but really, there wasn't anything much to say about it, and, by the defensive nature of the remark, it seemed that their Head of House was having a less easy time of it than he.
He sat there until the last of the straggling Pecari left the Hall then stood himself.
"Teppenpaw first years - and any of those older students who think they need a refresher - this way, please."
He headed to the door, making a concentrated effort to walk slower than his usual pace so that the first years wouldn't have trouble keeping up, then took a sharp turn to the right and up the stairs...
