Kiva had received some terrible news at the end of the summer regarding Katrina McLevy. The poor girl had been in a terrible accident and would not be returning to Sonora for her final year. Kiva couldn’t imagine the girl being removed from the school so close to the end of it and only hoped her family allowed her some tutors while she was healing so that she could still take her RATS and continue on with her magical schooling.But, on top of Kitty’s removal from Sonora, it left an open spot for the Aladren Quidditch team. Kiva had to quickly review the information that Amelia left behind to find a suitable replacement before the year began. Obvious choice for Captaincy was the Assistant Captain, but then his position needed replacing. It took her some time because she had no idea the history of each student on the team, but she thought she had ended up choosing a suitable replacement and sent the letter off only a couple of days into the new term.
Dear Thaddeus Pierce II,
In case you have not been made aware, but Katrina McLevy will not be returning to Sonora to finish her 7th year due to personal reasons. This leaves her position as Captain of the Aladren Quidditch team vacant. As you are the Assistant Captain, you have been promoted as the new Captain of the team. Congratulations! You will have the help of an Assistant Captain and we have decided to recommend James Carey.
If you would rather have another assistant or do not feel that you can perform the duties of the Captain position, please owl me so that I can make sure the right people get their badges. You may tell your assistant of the promotion. Good luck to you this year and I apologize for the short notice.
