Jorge was already missing the ocean. It had only been a couple of days into his Sixth year and he was bored. The Welcoming Feast had been full of announcements and things, but he didn’t really care much about it. People come, people go, wah wah. He was a little miffed at being told he had to join a group for the concert and had no idea what one he would join. He would, however, find great amusement watching other people scramble around to figure out what group they should join of their friends that wouldn’t upset someone else. For instance, both Waverly and Clara were Prefects but Brielle wasn’t. Who would Brielle choose? Family or friend? He looked forward to the fall out. Waverly was one of those adorable girls who had so much potential but was allowing her friends to ruin her. A fallout would do her some good.
He would have to think over who he would feel would be the best option for a concert. Jorge didn’t really want to be involved in it. He had musical talent and was good with his wand most of the time, but he didn’t really care to show off in front of an audience of people. He was assuming that family would be invited as they had been the last time and he was sure his parents would want to see him on stage, but he still didn’t care to actually do it. Again, actually being forced to do anything would depend on who it was he ended up working with.
He’d worry about it later.
For now, it was after his lessons for the day and he wasn’t quite hungry yet, so he decided to work up an appetite by going swimming. Normally, whenever he used the water room, he used it as a pool. It was easier to do laps that way. But today he decided to do something different. He had spent his summer on the beach with his cousins in Mexico. They swam and surfed for most of the days. His skin remarked his days in the sun and his body that of an ever growing boy. Now just under 6’ feet, the hours he spent in the water whether by swimming or surfing along with playing the drums had finally begun to show in his upper body. Not that anyone would notice. Jorge hardly noticed himself. The only time he did was when his mother yelled at him for not fitting into his clothes anymore. He felt that was a hazard for any growing boy.
Jorge stretched in the sand in front of the water, loosing up his arms and legs. He planned to be in the water for a while and swim against the waves. It would tire him out more quickly than just regular laps and still be a way to stay at the beach for a little while longer. When he felt loose enough, Jorge ran straight into the warm water like a gleeful little boy.
