FIRST DRAMA CLUB MEETING! by Aubrielle Thornton
Aubrielle was worried that since she’d helped Teppenpaw win the game against Crotalus before break, that nobody from Crotalus would join her Drama Club. But now she just worried that nobody would join it altogether. She wanted it to go off the ground this term, but she was afraid that it wouldn’t. What if its because people hate me? But wait… People don’t hate me… Not really… Do they? she wondered to herself as she stared at herself in the mirror in the MARS Music Room, the day of the first meeting.“But what if they do?” she asked aloud, not really aware if anyone was in the room with her just yet. She’d gone early to set up the day of the first meeting. There was a small table of snacks and drinks off to the side for everyone to enjoy and she had a book of improv and monologues open on a small table nearby her. Each of the days ticked by on her Calendar from the day she put up her signups and still nobody had put their names down on any of them. She hoped that at least one person would show up, but she readied herself for the fact that perhaps nobody would come at all.
“At least I tried…” she said quietly, seconds afterwards, unsure that someone was indeed in the room with her. She jumped when the person spoke up and her cheeks turned pink with embarrassment.

Coming to the meeting! by Darina Porter, Tepp
Darina had signed up the day before the first meeting when she hadn’t seen any other names on the list. She knew Bri would be upset if nobody showed up and though she didn’t know if her cousin had seen that she’d signed up, she wanted to be sure at least someone was there! Rina had put on a pair of black yoga pants and a yellow ribbed tank top with a pair of sneakers to match and a fabric headband in the same shade of yellow as her shirt. Sure, she felt like a bumble bee, but it was what it was, right?She walked into the MARS Rooms quietly and opened the door into the Music Room. It didn’t even squeak or anything so she was sure when she walked in that Bri hadn’t seen or heard her enter. Brielle was on the other side of the room looking in the mirror and Rina turned around and closed the door quietly and just watched her older cousin for a moment. Bri was someone that she’d always looked up to and the game they’d played together with her twin and the rest of the team made Rina realize that she had never really told Bri how she felt and the eleven year old decided to today was the day she was going to tell her.
“But what if they do?” Bri asked and Rina looked curiously at her cousin, confused, but didn’t say anything. The last thing she wanted to do was to startle her. Rina noticed the table of snacks and drinks on the side of the room and smiled. Her cousin had thought of everything… Then Bri spoke again and Rina turned to look at her. “At least I tried…”
“Uhm… What if who does what? And At least you tried? Tried what?” Rina was confused, very confused now.
