Paul had found his way through the Library once agan, making his way, finally, to the Aladren common rooms. He found snatched up his things, and his cat Lussni,and brought them up to his room. Unlike a normal at, Lussni ddn't purr Lussni didn't make any sounds. And instad of normal black or brown fur, Lussni was multicolored, pastel colors. The poor cat also had one eye and three legs. Paul wasn't going to bring the family cat to Sonora, it would be too much trouble, but Cissy had threatened she'd take it if Paul didn't. And Paul didn't want the cat to end up dead.So Paul brought Lussni to the Aladren common rooms, with hopes that he would stay in here. And if the cat just stayed here, or near Paul, nothing bad would happen to it.
Paul was glad Cissy wasn't in Aladren. He had just come from the feast, the feast he had skipped, in which he witnessed his little sister turn the muddy brown of Pecari. Good, let them have her. She was their problem now. Not Paul's. Not Lussni's. The Pecs'.
After dumping his few items randomly in drawers in the second year boys' dorm, Paul grabbed Lussni and a counterjinx book, and made his way back to the common room. He checked the board quickly, but that was stupid, of course Quidditch try-outs wouldn't be up yet. Still, Paul didn't want to miss it. He enjoyed playing Beater, and still had yet to hit someone. And with Cissy actually here, Paul would need the stress release. Another good thing came with Cissy getting in Pecari, she wouldn't be on the Quidditch team. All Cissy would want to play would be Beater, and if Paul remembered correctly the Pec Beaters were the Captains. Or something like that.
When that was finished, Paul leaned himself into a chair and opened the book. He still needed more protection from is sister. And so did Lussni, Paul began scrathing behind the stub of an ear the cat had.\n\n

Hyana found her way to the Aladren Common Room. She was still shaken by her run in with the girl named Caedence, and was secretly thanking the Craven Twins, for helping her out of that tight spot.She sat down in a nice chair and pulled out a textbook for Potions. Hyana looked up though, when she heard a cat purring.
A boy sat across from her, scratching a very strange cat. The boy was reading a book about counterjinxes. He didn't seem to have noticed her.
'Hyana, just say hi...it's not that hard!' she thought to herself. She didn't usually speak unless spoken to, but that was when she lived with her devil mother...and the muggles.
Finally deciding on being brave, Hyana stood and walked over to the boy.
"H-hi, my name is Hyana Kamiya...I'm a first year. W-what's your name?"\n\n

"H-hi, my name is Hyana Kamiya...I'm a first year. W-what's your name?"This made Paul look up from his odd, purring cat and away from his safety from Cissy and to the first year who had talked to him. He gave her a short raise of his eyebrows in a questioning glance. It basically said "And I care... why?" But this years first years probably didn't know Paul wasn't a socializing person. So he decided to humor this Hyana girl for a second.
"Paul Tarwater, second year," he said in a low monotone, only flicking his eyes up from the book for a second. His fingers scratched behind Lussni's only ears one more time and Paul brought his eyes up again. "Fest boring you, eh? Or did you meet someone you feel you shouldn't have." At this point Paul almost grinned. He would feel sorry for someone if they ran into his little sister. Very sorry. He and Lussni had done it far to many times before. "Some angry Pecari firstie like you, perhaps." This time Paul did grin and shake his head.
Of course, he doubted if Cissy talked to someone she would be cruel. She sorted out allies from enemies first, then made those enemies. She also wouldn't bother with people when she was angry unless she knew she hated them. Or knew they were Muggle-born.\n\n

Two points against your argument there. One, your mother had apparently told you how to get into the commons (which was against the school secrecy rules... how was she to know Paul would make it into Aladren?), and two I don't believe that Hyana had that advantage.If you want to place this conversation after the feast, do so. Otherwise, I think you're going to have to rethink this whole thing.

Hyana was startled by his question. "Did you meet someone you feel you shouldn't have. Some angry Pecari firstie like you, perhaps.""I didn run into someone from Pecari...kind of literally. I don't know if she was a first year. She had a braid...it kind of resembled a sword." Hyana shook her head, like she was trying to get rid of the memory. She looked at the cat, who was still purring. "What's your cat's name Paul?" She asked curiously.
Hyana was proud of herself. She was talking to a stranger. Sure, that usually would be a bad thing...but she just wanted to be able to speak. She didn't think that he liked her very much, but, hey, what was there to like?\n\n

Paul shrugged slightly. A girl with a sword/braid or whatever in Pecari was definately not Cissy. Cissy always believed braids were nasty and ugly and whenever her mother wore them, Cissy ranted about it. Besides, that girl sounded familier. It was the Chaser on Pecari, the angry one. Paul snorted remembering how Teppenbaws Chasers were said to "suck," hah, at least they stayed on their brooms. Not that Paul liked Teppenpaw any better than Pecari, he just normally went to the side of the one person/team/organization that people made fun of (unless it had to do with Muggles)."No, that girl's in my year," he muttered, flipping another page in his book. "A Chaser that fell off her broom last year," another laugh from Paul. "I was sad I wasn't the Beater that knocked her off though, the lucky Tepp Beater." Another useless page in his book. Flip. Oo... this one had spells on trapping the jinxer in a bubble so their jinx was put on them instead, they stayed in the bubble for an hour and the jinx wore off once the bubble was gone. Paul checked its level of difficulty. Hm, if he was the Aladren he should be (or just extremely lucky) he would be able to do a half hour version of that spell in a year. That was good.
Lussni purred in Paul's arm as the girl kept talking. Paul flicked his blue eyes back up for a second before pulling them down again. His cat? Was this girl just trying to make conversation? Apparently so. Oh well, his hour of peace and quiet was gone. "Lussni," he mentioned, pressing down on a lime green section of the cat's fur. \n\n

Hyana looked at Paul, who seemed to be getting annoyed. She heard someone walk into the common room, and saw her friend Ebony."Ummm, my friend's here. I guess I'll see you around Paul. Bye!" She said before leaving.\n\n
