Quidditch Sign Ups by Professor Skies
Although she had asked potential captains to come and speak to her, it still fell to Selina to put up the Quidditch sign up sheet for now. If anyone was interested, she would happily allow them to take all further responsibility off her hands. It was a shame, she supposed, that the house didn’t have a team. She had played Chaser in her own school days and enjoyed it thoroughly. But that had been a different school and a different house. She hoped Crotalus’ Quidditch fortunes would pick back up but she wasn’t as affected by it as she would have been in her own alma matter.Anyone interested in a position on the Crotalus Quidditch team should sign below with their name, year and desired position. Anyone interested in taking on additional responsibilities, such as captainship, should indicate this or speak with Professor Skies.
Try-outs will be held at noon on Saturday. Walk ons and those wishing to simply find out more will be welcome.
The try-outs last year had consisted of her sitting with her book in the stands for an hour. She placed the paper in the centre of the board, hoping it would gather more than dust…

When Alistair saw the Quidditch sign up sheet, he smiled. The prospect of playing in a team was excited and he could only hope that Crotalus would have ample interest to form one this year. But as he neared the board, a wave of disappointment met him. As of yet there was no names signed up at all but that he could cope with - there was still time before Saturday.The issue was that there was not even a captain. This signified to Alistair that the Crotalus Quidditch team was simply not going to happen again this year. The first year frowned, irritated and dispirited.
Nevertheless, he signed up his name:
Alistair Johnson, 1st, Chaser (or Seeker)
Although he doubted he'd have much competition for the position of Chaser - finding one would be hard enough, let alone three - Alistair added Seeker as a possibility. It was helpful to be flexible and he wouldn't mind playing such a position. He thought Seekers easily the most important players but then he found Chaser the most enjoyable position as it really enabled one to get in on all the action and be right in the spotlight.
Quite frankly, the young Crotalus fancied himself good at any position on the pitch with wellrounded skill. Despite the thoughts of acing games on the Sonora Quidditch pitch playing in his mind, Alistair went down to breakfast with an unusually pessimistic heart.
