Her things were thrown everywhere as she unpacked in a laziness that would seem only a sloth could have. She was rather bored with the idea of putting all of her stuff away and hadn't really felt like doing so anyway.
She sat on her bed looking at all of her things strewn about the room with a frown on her face. Why had she so much stuff? And where were the other girls? She had seen Jenna H. during the feast, but no one else. It was strange to her not to see any of the others.
Well, it was strange that she was living with all Jens, but she had learned to deal with it. Besides, they were all so vastly different that it had been easy for her to do so.
She began the tedious chore of cleaning up her mess of belongings trying to find the right opportunity to make an excuse of finishing. And then, the door opened, giving her exactly what she wanted; a distraction.\n\n

Lily floated her trunk through the second year girls dorm. She had overheard someone say that turning the color of a tomato meant you were in Crotalus. She still wasn't quite sure what that meant, what Crotalus was like. It was the house those snobby girls were in too, and if they were any indication of the residents of the house, Lily wasn't sure she wanted to be there.
One thing Lily was sure of, however, TRANSFERING SUCKED! All the people in her year already knew each other. And as for the firsties, Lily wasn't one of them either. She was a year older, had a year more schooling. She knew she wasn't gonna fit in, whether she found her cousin or not. But, then, she never had. Lily was used to being alone.
She sighed and sat down on the empty bed in the corner. It was clear, the other beds were all taken, this was to be her bed. Lily looked around the room and realized she had company. "Er, hello" She said.\n\n

Jennifer scowled as she raced up the stairs. She had gotten lost on her way from Cascade Hall, and so had been wandering in circles before a kindly portrait gave her directions. Honestly, that she could get lost when she had spent 9 months trying to learn every nook and cranny of this school was sad, but, unfortunately, she seemed to have lost all information she had had on the school building.
Opening the dorm room door, gasping slightly for breath, she saw that Chrissy was sitting on her bed, frowning, around a rather disasterous mess. Jennifer giggled slightly. Now, that made her feel like she was home again. SHe had spent most of her summer with Liz and her family, where mess was appreciated, and then had been forced to visit her mother, where any sort of object out of place could get you excommunicated from the pureblood groups.
"Hello, Chrissy. Have a nice summer? Did you see Josh enough to suit you?" she asked, recalling with a bigger grin the conversation about Tally's apparently "gorgeous" older brother the two had had before school ended.
Then, she noticed that there was someone else in the room. She stared at the person for a few minutes, not recognizing her at all. It wouldn't make sense for a first year to be up here, but Jennifer knew that she knew every single one of her yearmates in her house. "Oh, hello. She said politely. "My name is Jennifer Zucchero. I take it you're a new student?" she finished with a small smile toward the new girl.\n\n
Chrissy had turned to see a girl she didn't know enter the room. Apparantly she hadn't seen Chrissy sitting there, but Chrissy chose to stay silent and watched her in curiosity.
At first, Chrissy thought her to be a first year who was lost, but then the girl placed her things beside a bed. An extra bed. A bed that shouldn't have been there. So...who was this girl? And then she was speaking to Chrissy.
"Hi-" Was all Chrissy got out before the door opened and in came Jennifer. An instant smile made its entrance onto Chrissy's face at the sight of her friend, "Hi Jennifer! And yes, I saw josh plenty!" Chrissy said with a laugh. She returned to the new girl, Jennifer had introduced herself already, so Chrissy thought she should do the same,
Lily looked from one girl to the other as they introduced themselves as Jennifer and Chrissy. "I'm Lily Collins." She wasn't sure if they'd know her family name or not. The Collinses were a pureblood family from out east.
Lily managed a small smile as Chrissy welcomed her to Crotalus. Maybe these girls and this house weren't so bad after all. "Thanks. Nice to meet you both. So, what's this place like?" Lily asked. "Nobody in my family goes here. Well, supposedly, I have a second cousin or something here, who I've never met." Actually, she was just discovering the wizarding part of her family and hadn't really met any of them, other than Marshall.\n\n
Lily? Finally someone else she would be dorming with who didn't have the letter J E N in her name. This almost made Chrissy squeal in delight, but she reframed for fear of scaring the girl.
"Know the name of your second cousin? We might know 'em." Chrissy suggested. "The school itself isn't so bad. Some days the food is better than others, some teachers are better than others. There are certain paintings to avoid, certain passageways that lead you nowhere. Our librarian is a bit strange-or so I've heard. Our Headmistress is a bit nutty. Professor Bulla seems like he could have fun, but he never seems to let his guard down. DADA is always a blast. Professor Connell tries to intimidate, but doesn't do a good job of it. Reiner is someone who could definitely do with a cheering charm...Lissy like to talk in riddles, Tony is fairly entertaining. Oh, and Coach Cooper is awesome."
Chrissy paused here with a thoughtful look, trying to think of anything that she might have forgotten. She couldn't really see if she had or not, so she just shrugged, "I think that's about it. Except for the students, but I've only really hung out with the girls here and Tally and Liz, so...I'm not really sure about them. I guess you'll just have to experience them yourself. Anyway, want to know anything else?" Chrissy asked her.\n\n
"We do know a lot of people, and this school isn't all that large," Jennifer agreed. "And the teachers are basically that. I don't know who Tony is, though."
She gave Chrissy an inquisitating look, and then continued. "I haven't really hung out with many other people, either. A few from some of the other houses, but not many. We Crotali are pretty good, though I don't know what to say about the new first years.
"The houses seem to be divided up with the Aladrens being pretty quiet, the Teppenpaws as well, usually, we the crotali seem to be mainly purebloods, no offense meant if you're not, and the Pecari, well, they're just kind of out of control, if you know what I mean."\n\n
Chrissy laughed at Jennifer's look. She hadn't really told anyone but Tally about the plant. She wasn't even sure if Jenna told anyone about the plant for that matter. Not that it was anything special, but it had been a rather amusing encounter.
"Tony, the talking Venus Fly Trap. He's rather witty and quite the entertainer. I should go back and visit him..." Chrissy added more to herself than to anyone else. "But yeah, we second years are fairly decent and we mostly stick with one another. Like, Tals is my best friend and she's in Teppenpaw. But I usually hang out with Jenna number 1 while Tals hangs with Jake. Jennifer, you usually hang out with Liz, who's a Pecari. Then it's the Craven twins who hang out with Stephen, and the Welsh twins who are usually together, they're a bit shy. Mia and Sally are usually spotted together...and, I think that's mostly everyone I know. But, as a whole, we're fairly decent to one another. Nothing major at any rate." Chrissy said with a grin.
"Although, these first years might make a mess out of our content little home. The way they act, it's like they own the world! Did you see them at the feast?" Chrissy asked the other girls.\n\n
0ChrissyYes, praise, bow down unworthy ones...0Chrissy05
One of the girls,Chrissy, looked quite happy at Lily's...name? She shrugged to herself, as they explained about the students and teachers at Sonora. She laughed "At my old school the teachers seemed a bit preoccupied with alcohol." According to her mom, her dad was the same way.
She continued as they asked about her cousin. "I think her name is Kaylie Brockert, does either of you know her? She's supposed to be in our year. I've never met her but our cousin, her first,my second said she was here.
"Although, these first years might make a mess out of our content little home. The way they act, it's like they own the world! Did you see them at the feast?"
Lily made a face. "Those girls who turned red. That means they're in this house." She absolutely despised girls like them. Her hometown was full of them too. Fortunately, most of them were afraid of Lily.\n\n
OOC: Sorry it took me forever, things are a bit hectic with the last week of classes and start of exams. BIC:
Chrissy gave Lily an odd look when she mentioned her professors at her other school had a fondness for alcohol. Were they even allowed to have alcohol on the premises of a school. Did they drink while they taught? What kind of school exactly did she used to go to? And, if alcohol were the case, no wonder Lily's parents sent her here instead.
"Where'd you use to go?" Chrissy listened to Lily as she told her of her cousin or second cousin or whatever the girl was to her's name. Kaylie Brockert. Hm. Chrissy didn't know the girl, but she knew the name. "I think she's in Teppenpaw. Tals' roommate, but I don't specifically know her. Sorry." Chrissy said with a small apologetic shrug.
At Lily's questions, Chrissy gave her a defeated sigh and a nod, "Afraid so, Lils. Luckily enough, you get to room with Jenna 1, Jenna 2, Jennifer, and luckily ol' me." Chrissy said with a large grin that reached her brown eyes. Her arms were spread wide about as if to show off how cool it all was, "We're wicked cool and way nice. Always a blast that we are." \n\n

When something is lost, it's under my author's bed at home

"I went to school out in Pennsylvania. Our DH had an extensive wine collection, and my cousin said that the previous year, his Transfiguration class was cancelled once because his professor was hungover. She'd been out celebrating her 21st birthday the night before." Lily replied.
"So, do you at least know who Kaylie is? I mean could you point her out?" she asked. Lily supposed she'd hang out with Chrissy and Jennifer anyway, but it would still be nice to meet family..
"Jenna,Jenna and Jennifer?" Lily asked incredulously. She suppressed a laugh. No wonder Chrissy seemed happy that she was named Lily! "Well as long as they're not like those first years..."\n\n

"Wow, that would be scandalous if one of our professors ever did that. Though, I suppose they'd shoot up the ratings on the cool list. But still, weren't parents really upset to find out that the people they sent their children to learn from and keep safe are drinking? I know my parents wouldn't stand for it." Chrissy said with an awed sort of look.
"No, I don't think I could, but I'm sure Tally would be willing to. I'll introduce you to her at some point." Chrissy laughed with Lily questioned the names of their dormmates.
"Yeah, I know, it was a bit confusing and the Jennas' didn't really like my numbering them, but I think it works. Besides, now that there's you, it might not be too difficult. Just be happy we don't have the other Jen living with us too." Chrissy stated, "And no, they aren't anything like the first years. They actually have personalities."\n\n

Right, there's no room for her under there....
by Lily
"Well, my mom's a Muggle, so she doesn't know anything about any of these places...and we don't communicate very well anywat. My dad's a wizard but my parents are divorced and I haven't seen him since I was six. He's not a bad father," Lily added quickly, "My mom just wouldn't let him see me. I met his mother, my grandmother, last Christmas and she was responsible for my transfer. Lots of people transferred out but I think it had more to do with the murderer that transferred to the school than the fact that the professors were drinking. Oh, and the one girl got posessed by an evil spirit there."
"Oh, that would be nice" Lily replied as Chrissy said she could introduce her to Tally. "And what do you mean the firsties don't have personalities? They just don't have good ones."\n\n
