Irene needed to stop drawing doodles on her essay. Really, drawing Lucky the Leprechaun from Lucky Charms will not help her finish her Charms homework in any way. She heaved a sigh and leaned back into the couch she had perched herself upon. There wasn't that much going on these days. Quidditch, of course, was a given comitment, but the time in between practices was left to homework or just chilling somewhere. There was nothing necessarily wrong with this lifestyle. She kind of liked it, but it was getting boring. Classes, Quidditch, homework, hang out, sleep, repeat. The one thing that kept things interesting was the upcoming ball. It was fun hearing about who was going with who. Irene had talked to Josh about whoever he had his eye on, but he refused to talk about it. No surprise there. She would just have to wait and see.
Irene lay down her quill, turning to look out the window. The rain wss quietly splashing on the window sill in steady, peaceful pattern. She loved the rain. She wasn't sure why, but she loved to sit by the window and just watch and listen. There was no real reason. It was just calm. Irene could hear footsteps approaching from behind her. She turned around and gave the approaching person a smile.
"Hi," she greeted them.
