Fellow Fifth Years Unite! by Stephen Baxter

Sure, it wasn't like they were playing today, but that just meant that Stephen actually got to watch the game. And watching the game - while having its deficiencies, such as not being in the game - had its perks. Like sitting with Mia and his friends.

So Stephen was sure to be ready on time, had made certain to give Ash a good lot of "are you coming?" and "Liz is sure to be there" and then made a few comments that had ended with him running out of their shared room, certain that if he stayed it would have turned... well, possibly painful. If Lizzie wasn't obvious enough - even before he'd started referring to her as Ash's Snookie Wookums - then Ash had been blatent at the combined training and tryout session. It was almost enough to have him rolling his eyes and conspiring to lock them in a small room together. And possibly set up a camera outside the door for a proper shot of the moment they escaped (or were let out) to commemorate the moment.

Actually, that wasn't a bad idea...

But it could wait until later. There was a game to watch, one that would be interesting, as Jenny, Geoff and the rest of the Crotali team were up against Zack and the nerds. Sure, it wasn't Jake's lot - which he really wouldn't have minded seeing in action before their game against them - but it was still quidditch, and he wanted to go cheer on both teams. He wandered over to the noticeboard, glancing at Bella's notice to see if there was anything new, noticed a new Charms club thing that he didn't see much point in reading just at that moment, and then checked the time.

Up the stairs and to the girls hallway - why were girls always late? - he called down it to them.

"Fox isn't going to wait for you girls to be all dolled up to watch her start the game. Hurry up already!"\n\n

Procrastinators of the World, Unite...Tomorrow. by Lizzie Lavine

You look fine, that oh-so-helpful voice in the back of Lizzie's head reassured her, Besides, you know Ash doesn't give a damn what you're wearing. She sighed, still not satisfied. Fairly long swoop bangs hung off to the side of her blue eyes, constantly falling in her line of vision, despite her attempts to control them. Her jet-black hair was pulled into a high ponytail, just high enough so that its tips just brushed the base of her neck. Small red ruby studs were stuck into her ears, their color selected in an attempt to express her support of Jen, and consequently, Crotalus.

Liz had dressed in her usual jeans and low-top Converses, but for today she sported a faded dark scarlet tee with "PROPERTY OF THE NEW ORLEANS HURRICANES" emblazoned across the front in block lettering. Lizzie pivoted slightly in front of the full length mirror that had lately been getting more attention than usual from her, surveying how she looked for the thousandth time. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Lizzie knew that none of this really should bother her, but it was hard to remember that when she felt... looked at.

The match between Aladren and Crotalus was one that Liz had been told not to miss- Jen had vehemently made this point clear when she had threatened death if Lizzie wasn't in attendance. Not like Liz would have missed a game anyway, but that wasn't the point. She quickly checked the clock she had on her nightstand in an attempt to assure herself that she was not late for once in her life. She was. With a sigh, Liz took another quick look in the mirror and brushed her bangs aside. They fell back into her eyes, mockingly rebellious.

"Fox isn't going to wait for you girls to be all dolled up to watch her start the game. Hurry up already!" A voice Lizzie immediately recognized as Stephen's came floating up from the Commons.

Within moments, Lizzie was at the foot of the stairs from the Girls Dorm. "I'm here, you didn't have to yell," she said with a grin, knowing he probably was really looking for Mia. She didn't even take the time to think about Sorrel and Mia upstairs in their shared dorm while getting ready- Lizzie had been preoccupied with other thoughts. Lizzie looked around the common room in that 'I'm-looking-but-trying-not-to-look-like-I'm-looking-for-someone' manner, with furtive glances out of the corners of her eyes. Not seeing the sought-for entity, Liz resigned herself to sitting on the couch until the others got down there.

"Where's your partner in crime, Stephen?" she finally asked trying to act nonchalant, "Out causing trouble? As if he didn't do enough of that already..."

No..... don't encourage them! We're after posts here... by Stephen

"Red, red... no points for guessing who you want to face us in the finals this year," Stephen said, taking proper notice of Liz's entrance for a moment before glancing up at the girls hallway again with a frown.

"Where's your partner in crime, Stephen? Out causing trouble? As if he didn't do enough of that already..."

"Who?" Stephen asked, all innocence. He knew exactly who Liz was after - it didn't take a genius - but that didn't mean he had to make things easier for her. Not when playing dumb could be so much more interesting. Although he could always bargain information.

With another shout up to Mia and Sorrel to get a move on, he did just that.

"Besides," he said, turning to Liz, slipping an arm around her waist and pulling her down to the couches to wait for the others. There was nothing wrong with the action - he had a girlfriend, sure, but Lizzie was an old buddy; had been since that tickle war in first year. Stephen was a demonstrational kind of guy, most of the time. And if it meant he got to get closer to the girl Ash liked that Ash himself had managed yet... well, that was all part of the fun. "Besides, I'm innocent, I tell you. Completely innocent. Really, you can't believe a word - who said something anyhow? Doesn't matter. How long do you think the other two are going to be? Let me know that and I'll let you know something about Ash..." he grinned at her, brown eyes dancing.

Ash was a dope, taking so long. There was a hot girl here, and everyone knew that she liked Ash just as much as Ash lusted after her. She was hardly going to wait around forever.

That said, what was taking Mia so long? Sorrel, he could almost understand, with the whole panda look thing happening, but Mia? She looked great whatever way she was.\n\n

That might be wishful thinking. by Mia Kerova

Mia didn’t spend a second of unnecessary time in the fifth year girls’ dorm. She was always in and out as quickly as she could or avoided the room all together. Why would she want to be in a room with one girl who hated her and another who probably hated her? So she didn’t. Instead she was quick to get up and out to get ready for the Quidditch game that day between Aladren and Crotalus. While Quidditch generally didn’t interest her much there was one aspect that, though she would never really speak aloud, always drew interest. Flying. Come on. How cool was that?

Mia got ready in front of the bathroom mirror that morning like she did most mornings. She French braided her hair, a skill she picked up over the summer from Megan, and put her contact lenses in. But that was where she was stuck. Mia leaned in close to the mirror, pushing her cheek just below her left eye. She knew in the back of her mind that she was making a huge deal over nothing and usually she didn’t think much of it, but any time she looked long enough at a mirror she focused on her left eye and cringed. Ever since she banged it last winter, it healed awkwardly leaving it uneven with the other eye. Okay, so it was only by maybe millimeters and was probably only noticeable to her, but she was still tempted to take pieces of hair from her braid to cover that side of her face.

And then that voice came up the stairs and Mia stopped fretting over the eye. She smiled. Why was Stephen always in a rush? She didn’t think he knew the meaning of the words “hold on a minute.” She checked herself over again quickly. The collar of her button down top wasn’t messed up. Her brown tank top showed underneath the first few casually undone buttons. Her jeans sat right. Her sneakers were tied. Her bracelet was on her wrist. Her light jacket was around her waist and her wand was in the pocket. Good. Mia heard Stephen call out again. She ignored the other name. Another skill, but one she was still working on.

“Oh, give me a break.” She rolled her eyes with a small laugh, but finally left the bathroom and made her way to the stairs. Her eyes fell on the scene downstairs and her step faltered. Neither Stephen nor Liz seemed to notice her just yet, but as far as Mia could tell (and hope) it was just Stephen being Stephen. She really had no reason to think otherwise. Still, Mia’s first step down the stairs was a little harder than necessary and quite deliberate. She reached the bottom of the stairs and stopped there.

“Hey. Hope I didn’t take too long.” That bit was directed at Stephen with a joking grin. She smiled in greeting generally to both of them, catching the tail end of the conversation. Whatever Stephen could mention to Liz about Ash, Mia probably didn’t want to know so she didn’t feel bad cutting them off. Even trying to just look at Stephen, she was looking in the direction of both students and while she didn’t have a problem with Liz, it didn’t seem to be the same the other way around.

“So are we going to see this game or what?” She spoke, not stepping a great deal closer to the pair. The motion, or lack of, probably looked like less than it meant to her. Friends or not, Mia wasn’t too keen on having Stephen’s arms around both girls. There was nothing wrong with that, right?\n\n

*sighs* It is my turn... by Lizzie

Lizzie rolled her eyes at Stephen. Sometimes she thought that boy was too confident for his own good. She was, however, interested in what he had to say. An information exchange would have most certainly been advantageous for her, but alas, she had no real information to give. Liz was about to make this point known to Stephen when she heard the very definite footfalls of someone coming down the stairs to the commons. She turned and looked at Mia, immediately recognizing the very obvious assumption that could have been made about Liz and Stephen's current position.

"Hey Mia," she said, picking up Stephen's arm and handing it back to him, "And I agree. I wonder what could be keeping everyone else."

The fact that Stephen had decided to take the liberty of putting his arm around her didn't bother Lizzie in the slightest. She and Stephen had been friends forever, it seemed, and there was no doubt in her mind that Stephen was just being his usual self. Besides, he knew fully well that Lizzie was not interested in him, but in his roommate and very good friend. However, Liz didn't want to start any new conflict with Mia over anything, especially not something as ridiculous as Stephen acting stupid around her.

Liz stood, brushing off her jeans and seating herself in a highbacked chair next to the sofa. Somehow she figured that she didn't want to get stuck in the middle of Mia and Stephen, and the chair was equally as comfortable as the couch. The thought that kept her mind busy, however, was the fact that there was still a crucial addition to their party that was M.I.A. Ash needed to appear from wherever he was hiding out so they could get onto this game before the thing ended. \n\n

The Twins

March 01, 2007 6:28 PM

Taking two turns (kinda) by The Twins

Stephen was getting to be an arse. He was also getting in the way of things happening with Liz. Sure, he gave Ash confidence that she'd say 'yes' (unless he was tricking him to set him up for a bad fall, a thought which had definitely occured to him, because it was exactly the sort of trick he'd love to play) which was probably a necessary shove towards the blatently obvious he needed, because to Ash all girls giggled and messed with their hair - he had no idea how Stephen knew to tell apart the stuff that was meant to mean something (further evidence it was BS). On the down side though, Ash was a stubborn git. The more Stephen told him to do something, the less likely he was going to be to do it - even if it was something he wanted to do - because he didn't want Stephen to think he was doing what he'd told him to do, cos Stephen didn't own him. But he wanted Liz. Therefore he was beginning to try and under-do anything else Stephen even remotely hinted at to compensate. Thus, when Stephen poked him, told him to hurry up and get out of bed and so on, Ash made it a point of lying in an extra ten minutes longer than he would have had Stephen said nothing at all. It wasn't going to make them late for the game. Stephen was still as hyper as a five year old on Christmas morning. They had hours.

*~*~*

Although eyeliner, an evil she'd previously sworn she'd never touch, had entered her morning routine, Sorrel's activities hadn't vastly swayed to try and compensate for anyone. Thus she was up before much of the student body, even on the day of a Quidditch match, because her aim was to get back, rather than ready, by the time everyone else was getting up. Unlike most everyone else, who never unravelled the mystery of the enchanting blah-de-blah gardens to their full and whimsically nauseating extent, Sorrel was bored of them. She'd never been one for appreciating scenery anyway, and her regular morning jogs meant she was sure she'd seen all there was worth seeing. It was the exercise that mattered anyway, not the view. How was a pretty view in your head going to help you when you were trying to slug a Bludger away from your Seeker? Chin ups would though. Like every morning, she did them until her arms burnt - just enough to be pain, rather than a mere tingling, but not enough to damage her.

Sweaty and looking forward to her shower (provided Princess wasn't hogging the bathroom - honestly, did she need to do her entire morning routine in there?) she opened the door to the Common Room. She'd given herself plenty of time to get ready. But what she hadn't banked on - that she really should have - was Stephen's hyper, child-on-Christmas-morning thing over anything remotely... anything. The fact that he and Liz (and Princess) were up already was what struck her first. It hit just a moment before she noticed that Liz was just guiltily removing Stephen's arm from her shoulders. She opened her mouth to say something, but realised she really had no ground. Liz wasn't Ash's girlfriend, in spite of the fact the Ash had drooled a big enough puddle for Liz to slip over in and wind up in his arms (gag). And Stephen... Well, why should she give a stuff? Except that he knew Ash liked Liz, so it was out of line. Giving them both a glare, even as they untangled, she decided she owed them even less of an 'I'll just be five minutes' than she'd ordinarily have bothered to give, so just stomped up to the girls' dorm.

*~*~*

About five minutes after Sorrel had left, Ash ambled down the stairs, rubbing his hair in what he hoped was a carefree (and kinda cute bad boy) way.

"Alright?" he asked, casually, flopping onto the arm of what happened to be Liz's chair, and then trying not to fidget self-consciously. He was fine. He was just chilling. She was his mate. He glanced at his watch. "How long ago'd she get back?" he asked, nodding at the girls' stairs. Even if they hadn't all been there, it would have been obvious who he meant. He knew it was too late for Sorrel not to be back in, but he didn't have her timed quite down to the second (he was fairly sure there wasn't a precise enough second to be able to time it right down to). \n\n

That means... Mia next after me? by Stephen

"Nah," Stephen said, giving Mia an appreciative look up and down. "Just about enough time, I think," he winked at her. Lizzie's handing of his arm back to him made him look at her for a second before turning back. "I think they-"

He stopped. Speak of... one of the devils. Ignoring the glare and grinned. "Morning, Sorrel," he said, watching her go up the stairs. Hot and sweaty. It made her clothes stick to her a bit in... distractingly interesting ways. It was clear she was fit. It was also very clear that she was a girl. Stephen shook his head a bit to clear it before turning his attention to Mia and giving her his best disarming smile. He bounded to his feet to fetch her over to the couch, pulling her along with him regardless of whether she was willing or not (but quite convinced that she was) before taking his seat again and pulling her sideways onto his lap.

"I think we might be in for a little bit more of a wait," he said, "but that's ok, because you're here now. And if they take more than ten minutes I'll go cast that water spell on Ash to make sure he wakes up." He leaned in and landed a peck on her lips. "Did I say 'morning', Princess?"

After a little time had passed, in which Stephen had found his hands surrupticiously moving (just a little) to see how far he could manage to get them under Mia's top (without being seen by Lizzie) to tickle her (because directly on the skin was far better on all counts) and also, it must be admitted, because it was fun being see how far he could get before she put a stop to things, the other Craven made an appearance.

Stephen immediately made a great show of hiding and using Mia as a human shield. When it was clear that he had settled over near Liz, Stephen leaned in towards Mia's ear and whispered, "shhh... we've got to watch this. If he doesn't make a move one of us has to push him onto Lizzie's lap. And then, whether Sorrel's here or not, we're going to have to run." He paused, moving a hand up to idly play with a whisp of hair that had escaped her braid and had been tickling his nose while he whispered. "Don't worry though, I'll protect you."\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I'm suppose'n so. Next! by Mia

Mia gave a quick response smile to Liz’s greeting that also held some thanks in it. She was glad to see Liz taking Stephen’s arm off of her. She knew it was nothing. The two were really good friends. That’s all. She mentally scolded herself for even letting any crazy ideas pop into her head. Her eyes drifted to the staircase as Liz wondered aloud about what was keeping ‘everyone else,’ no doubt meaning the Cravens.

Mia suddenly had second thoughts about waiting there. Of course Stephen and Liz were friends with the Craven Twits, but they were the farthest from friend status with her Mia could imagine. Maybe she should just leave now. Come up with some excuse to get away from the awkwardness and/or torment that was bound to come. Then Sorrel came into the common room a sweaty mess. She didn’t say a word, only glared and stormed off upstairs ignoring Stephen’s greeting. Mia’s eyes watched Sorrel’s retreating back with a none too pleased look of her own, but Stephen brought her head back to where it’d rather be anyway.

Mia followed Stephen as he pulled her to the couch where Liz had left and she sat where he pulled her onto his lap. He spoke again and Mia just gave him an amused smile. Yeah, she could tough it out with the Cravens because she wasn’t going anywhere. His good morning kiss made up her mind. Maybe a little embarrassing in front of Liz, but she didn’t think about it long.

“Hmm…” Mia pretended to think on Stephen’s question. “Nope. I don’t think you did. You said it to Sorrel, but not me.” She pouted playfully.

A long while couldn’t have gone by while they waited for Sorrel and Ash. Mia spent what few minutes it was biting her lip to stop herself from giggling stupidly, keeping her hand on Stephen’s wrist to keep where it traveled in check and only half seriously telling him to stop under her breath. She guessed she and her friends were wrong. None of them thought she’d be anywhere near the top of the list on getting a boyfriend. Megan was of course because she was pretty, confident and fun. Toby was a lucky guy. Mia didn’t see herself that way, being the quietest of the seven and the quietest in this house, but obviously she had done something right.

Mia moved Stephen’s hand completely from her when Ash arrived. Her eyes widened in surprise as Stephen held her in front of him like a wall. Was he trying to hide from Ash? As if he would have a problem going right through her. Ash went over to sit by Liz though. Her eyes stayed on the two for a moment longer than they would have as Stephen whispered to her. She moved her eyes elsewhere while stifling a laugh. It wouldn’t be funny having the Cravens chasing her even if Stephen would protect her, but the idea was pretty funny. A push in the right direction from Stephen. Mia certainly wasn’t going to do it. She didn’t have a death wish, but she did want to start heading for the Quidditch Pitch.

“I know you will.” She whispered back and leaned back against him with a smile. “Well, I can run pretty fast when I need to so go ahead. It doesn’t look like he’s going to do anything anytime soon and it’d probably be best if Sorrel wasn’t back. She already looks like she’s out for blood.”\n\n

Ok.. I'll jump the queue again to move this along. by Stephen

"I don't think he even noticed we were here once he saw Liz," Stephen whispered. "And you're right. Ash is an idiot. And it is better not to have Sorrel around if we..." he grinned and raised his eyebrows in the direction of the other two in the room. The oblivious two. "You ready then?"

Although it was nice, the sensation of her leaning back on him, Stephen moved Mia off his lap and in the process of getting to his feet helped her to do the same. With another grin and a gentle push towards the door so she could get a headstart, Stephen wandered the few steps needed to cross the distance between the couch and Lizzie's chair.

He considered a speech, but with the thought in mind that actions speak louder than words he gave Ash a shove estimated at being just enough to get the other boy off-balanced and tumbling onto Lizzie's lap.

Turning and running for the door, he grabbed Mia's hand on the way past, dragging her along with him. Just before he took the two of them out of the room, he called back over his shoulder.

"Liz - he's not going to be a man about it. Do us all a favour and give the guy a snog. We know you both want to. See ya at the pitch."

And with that, he high-tailed it out of there with his girl.

OOC: Mia knew I was moving us both out of here, so it's all approved and above board. Catch you folks at the pitch - and try not to forget Sorrel amongst all the action ;) \n\n

Yeah, thanks Stephen. by Lizzie

It wasn't everyday that a boy was dumped into Lizzie's lap. Infact, when Stephen shoved Ash off his seat on the arm of her chair, she was so in shock that she didn't know what to say. Lizzie was mortified- the boy she'd been after for so long was now sitting on her. It was awkward; Liz didn't know what to say or how to respond. Here Ash was, sitting on her, and she didn't know what to do. Stephen, of course, saved her from saying much by commanding her to kiss Ash.

With a gasp, Liz started breathing irratically and hard out of sheer embarassment. Stephen had just completely ousted her secret, in front of Merlin and all the Pecari Commons, and there was no way to avoid the inevitably awkward conversation- or, if things went well, not conversation at all. The thought then occured to Lizzie that Sorrel would be returning to the commons any minute, and the current position she was in was probably not going to be well-recieved by the other Craven.

"Well," she said, finally, "Stephen sure does have a way of creating amazingly awkward situations... Anyway, um- I, uh, about what Stephen said..."

But the overriding awkwardness of the situation silenced Liz before she could actually say anything. Lizzie looked away from him, her cheeks filling quickly with hot embarassment.

We'll pay you back. Promise. by Ash and Sorrel

OOC Hey there Princess, I think you made a rather grave error in your post. You referred to us as the 'Craven Twits'. I don't understand how that typo arose, seeing as the letters 't' and 'n' really are no where near each other on the keyboard. Sloppy typing aside, that's the sort of error that should be picked up when you proofread. I really do hope you'll be more attentive to what you're posting in future. :-p

IC
Stephen was being whispery. That rarely led to good things, in Ash's experience (usually as part of the conspiracy, rather than it's target). Deciding he should just ignore Stephen and the little pet he had on his lap, he turned to Liz.

"So, who do you think's gonna win this thing? Kinda hard to predict which way matches'll go in this place, ain't it?" Wow, that sounded lame. And this was on a subject he was good at. Man, he really hoped Sorrel would hurry up and rescue him. Wow... That meant he was desperate. So much so that he was hallucinating. Sorrel would revel in and increase his torment. Perhaps he should-whoa!

Ignoring Stephen appeared to have been a mistake. Caught offguard by the sudden push, Ash tumbled right into Liz's lap. Oh, real dignified and manly. As if the fact he was perched on Liz like some giggly highschool cheerleader wasn't bad enough, Stephen actually had to loudly insult his masculinity across the common room. He scrambled to his feet as hastily as he could, not really listening to what Liz was saying. His mind tuned in for the last bit '...about what Stephen said...' Oh, great. Liz actually believed him! He was going to kill Stephen later for embarrassing him like this and making Liz think he was gutless. Right now, the priority was to prove him wrong. It was like some automatic override of fear and logic; Stephen had said he didn't have the balls to kiss Liz, and he had to prove him wrong. Without really stopping to think what he was doing, he jerked Liz to her feet, pulling her into him with an arm around her waist, and planted a slightly sloppy and inexpert kiss on her lips. As he broke away, what he'd done hit him and he let go over her like she was a Manticore.

"Just, y'know, had to prove Stephen wrong," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. With what could have been considered a stroke of luck, he was interrupted before he had to find anything else to say.

*~*~*~

It would have been the understatement of the century to say that, in terms of looks, Sorrel was not a vain person. She didn't exfoliate, use a billion types of facewash, bodywash, moisturiser and anything else that came in a stupidly small bottle and smelt of made up flowers. A shower was a functional act, with sensible, functional soap. Thus after the space of time it took to lather up and scrub down, she was out and getting dressed into tatty boys' jeans and a Nine Inch Nails t-shirt.

She reached the common room just in time to see Stephen's antics and watch him dash out of the room, hand in hand with Princess. It made her sick. She couldn't say anything, cos he'd just tell her to get over her thing with Princess and stop being a b**** about it, but that wasn't even it. Stephen had been her best friend and now all he wanted to do was smooch pretty girly girls. She didn't get to see him so much because of it, and he'd clearly changed if he thought Princess was interesting, so it wasn't like he was going to want to spend time with her. She stepped out into the common room, they were all so caught up in each other that they hadn't even heard her on the stairs, which was quite an achievement. She turned to what was bound to be the most hilarious scene in a long time just in time to see her brother getting smoochy with Liz. Gag, of all the things she didn't want to see... Great. Stephen was getting couply with Princess, Ash was going to be trying to stick his tongue down Liz's throat the whole time. Which meant that her other friend was also occupied. Even if she counted Jen as a friend, that wasn't going to help her. They'd all ditched her in one fell swoop.

"Hope the four of you enjoy your double date," she snapped at Ash's back, as she headed to the exit.

"Sorre-" he began, wheeling round (actually rather glad of the distraction).

"I'm not playing fifth wheel, Ash," she yelled over her shoulder. "Have fun snogging in the back of the stands."

"Come on," he nodded to Liz. Sorrel walking out did not mean the argument was over. It was just in motion. "Don't get grouchy with me for having a- for this!" he yelled, catching up to Sorrel. "You total hypocrite. What, it's fine for you to go off shagging that geriatric biker bloke?"

"Don't just use this an excuse to go off on another one of your gay rants about him, MOM," Sorrel snapped reflexively. She didn't really want to get into that argument again, because that involved spending more time near Ash, and right now she just wanted to get the hell away from him. "Anyway, I said I don't give a ****. Take Liz up to the back row. **** her there for all I care, just don't expect me to stay and watch!"

"Fine, I will. And you enjoy being a sulky brat about it," he snapped. "I mean," he added to Liz, "Not literally what she- let's see if we can catch the others up, right?"\n\n

Well, anyway... by Lizzie

Lizzie was weighing her options on possible awkward directions to take the now virtually stagnant conversation when Ash jumped to his feet as fast as he could. Liz was grateful for two seconds before the boy pulled her up and landed a rather poorly executed kiss. For a moment, Lizzie couldn't think- there were too many emotions flying around, but Ash saved her the time to think of anymore with his "I'm-too-cool-'Had to prove Stephen wrong" thing. Lizzie only rolled her eyes, knowing fully well that it wasn't his only motive in attempting (poorly) to kiss her.

"Yeah, well, you definitely need some practice," she said caught between being angry and his boy-ego and laughing.

Just as Liz had the time to brush off the area around her mouth with the back of her hand, Sorrel appeared in her line of vision. All hell being let loose was probably a better predicament to be in than the one that Lizzie and Ash were in, she thought mildly as the female Craven stormed out. With an eyeroll, Liz followed the roving argument, completely unenthused about being the tag-along to the conversation.

"Sorrel, hey, that's not fair-" Liz began to protest, but then immediately backed off, recognizing a siblings-only fight when she saw one. Lizzie followed the argument as it quickened, considering Sorrel was booking it out of Ash's earshot. Her shouting wasn't, however, out of Lizzie's earshot. As the argument shifted directly to Lizzie herself, she wished that she wasn't following the Cravens.

"Take Liz up to the back row. **** her there for all I care..." and "Fine, I will." the fight escalated, and suddenly Lizzie stopped following all together. She stood still as Ash attempted to cover for himself by changing the subject. Lizzie knew beforehand that this was going to be a hot-button issue between the twins, but somehow she hadn't envisioned the fight between the two of them to take place while she was present.
