Sophie shuffled into the common room carrying a small green backpack and glanced around for anywhere to sit down. She found a nice comfy red chair pushed into a corner and sat down, sinking into its comfort. She noticed that by sitting in the corner she was in the darkest part of the room. She found a small lamp and hoped she wouldn't disturb anyone by turning it on. Suddenly a thought came to her. Maybe in a couple months, she would be able to simply use magic to turn on a light. She had to smile at the thought.
She reached into her backpack and pulled out a large purple book. She gentley opened the cover and attempted to fix the folded and worn pages. After being somewhat satisfied, she flipped back to the beginning. Noam opened his eyes and attempted to resist their sleepy flickering.... She could hear herself echoing these words she knew so well in her head and remembered the countless times she had read this page before. She was a firm believer that a book only got better by reading repeatedly. She immediately became lost in the book and was completely oblivious to the excitement about the notice for Quidditch tryouts.\n\n
