Hikaru walked into the library and smiled brightly, he couldn't wait to find a few books about hexes so he could practice. He looked slowly through the shelves until he found a book labled 'Hexes for the Vexed'he slowly opened the book and began reading the table of contents and the introduction as fast as he could so he could learn something new.\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiTrying to find the perfect spells!0Hikaru Kasuragi15
Hyana walked into the library. She had decided to read some books about quidditch, seeing as she had only read about a page worth of information. She scanned the shelves quickly and grabbed one that sounded interesting. 'The History of Quidditch and other interesting Facts.'
Hyana pushed her black hair out of her face and adjusted one of her ice blue hair clips. She went to the table closest to her and sat down. Across from her was a boy reading 'Hexes for the Vexed.' She noted the title, she would want to read it later. The boy didn't look up at her, he didn't blink. He just seemed absorbed into the book. Hyana decided to speak up, to say hi. It would be brave...and she could introduce herself properly for the first time at this school. Every other time she was apologizing for something or someone was wondering if she was okay.
"H-hello. Is th-that a good book?" She stuttered. It wasn't loud, he probably couldn't hear her. Sighing, she opened her book. Well, she tried, didn't she?\n\n
Hikaru glanced up from his book as she spoke "Oh...Hi! My names Hikaru, whats yours? Oh no, let me think about this, um...Hyana? It is a good book." He noticed her intricate looks, she was kinda cute...but he hoped Riley would like her. He wanted all of his friends to be friends with each other which was kind of a hopeless, hope. He waited for her to respond.\n\n
Hyana pushed her hair back behind her ears. He seemed pretty nice. She nodded after he finished speaking, and looked away. He was staring at her, and it was kinda weird.
"Ummm...wh-why are you reading that? F-first years can't do hexes..." She stammered. In her head, she scolded herself for acting this way. She wasn't supposed to stutter. She was trying to be brave. She forced herself to look back at him. He looked asian too. And his name sounded Japanese. Could there be another person like her around this school?!
"Are you waiting for someone?" She asked tentativly. She touched her index together. It was a bad habit of hers that she did when she was nervous. And to say the least, she was was nervous. He kept staring at her. Her brown eyes looked at the back of his book, keeping away from his. She waited for his answer as her gaze fell to her lap. \n\n
Hikaru blushed when he realized what he was doing "I apologize, I am so sorry that I'm staring at you!" He looked away and spoke with a smile "I love hexes, my godfather taught me quite a few spells before I left, I kind of obsess about hexes sometimes. So are you also from Japan?"
Hikaru picked his wand up out of his pouch and slowly twisted a lock of his hair around the tip. He cursed under his breathe as he realized what he was doing, it was a weakness of his. He slowly remembered his last experience with someone of his own heritage, it was his father shouting curses at him and beating him with that cursed staff he used to cast his spells (Hikarus Dad uses a different variety of magic than most wizards) he remembered being hit with that curse his father used to cause people pain.
He had lain half-dead on the ground in his own home with his father asleep upstairs he had crawled over to the chest he kept his clothes in, packed up enough to live for a few days and everything he had kept in his room. He took everything from his room that he could and had simply broken the locks on his door and walked out of his only home.
He had walked for two hours before he had found his godfathers adress and had collapesed on his door step. He didn't remeber anything that had happened in the following hours...Hikaru politely waited for a response.\n\n
Hyana listened carefully. He really did seem to like hexes. He asked her if she was from Japan. She took a moment to answer.
It wasn't that she didn't want to tell him, it's just that her mother was the japanese one. She loved her japanese heritage, but it just had to be from her mother. She looked up, took a deep breath, and said:
"Hai. Well, sort of. I'm actually from America, but my mother is fully Japanese. My father was american." Her gaze went back to her lap. Yes, her father was american. And her older sister was the nicest person in the world. Then came that stupid car crash. Both of them had died, leaving Hyana alone with her mother.
The bruises on her back from the last beating before she left were finally starting to heal, but still hurt. Her mother was very upset to find out she was a witch. Hyana was excited. Both of her parents were muggles, it was just a stroke of luck. She didn't like this school for one reason though. Two years ago, if her sister was also a witch, she would be in this school. Her older sister, her Sasame, would be here to help her. But she wasn't.
Hyana scolded herself for thinking these things. She probably looked so stupid to Hikaru. She decided to say something. "Are you waiting for anyone? It just seems like you keep looking at the library door." She watched him twist a lock of his hair around his wand and she blushed. He sort of reminded her of...herself.\n\n
Hikaru listened to her intently and felt sorry for her, she seemed like a very nice person and he felt alot of positive energy coming off of her aura so she shouldn't be so bad. "My father was a wizard and my mother was a witch, she was the American and my father was from Japan, I haven't been there for a while though; since I escaped from my fathers house." He stopped twisting his hair and answered her other question "Yeah, I'm waiting for my friend Riley, I was going to teach her a new hex, but since shes not here yet would you like to learn one?" He thought that Hyana would be a very nice person to be around and he could tell she had a fiery courage stored up deep inside of her "I was wondering, do you wanna be friends?" he asked the last question with kind smile and a spark in his eyes. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his wand twidiling it between his fingers.\n\n
Hyana almost jumped. He wanted to teach her hexes! She shook her head. First years probably weren't allowed to do hexes. She didn't want to get in trouble.
"S-sorry...but I don't think first years are allowed to do hexes..." Hyana stuttered with her slight accent. He didn't seem to mind though, or he just didn't hear her, because he then asked if she wanted to be his friend. Her breath caught in her chest. Another person wanted to be her friend? She couldn't believe it. All she could do was nod.
Her light blue green eyes, almost gray, shined brightly. This boy was so nice. \n\n
Hikaru nodded understanding her situation, she didn't want to get in trouble and he didn't blame her, he had just gotten in major trouble today in Charms, he smiled appreciating her happy look when she smiled with a sparkle in his eyes. He was imaginarily jumping for joy in his mind "I wonder where Riley is?" he thought aloud to himself more than Hyana.\n\n
Riley hurried through the doors of the library, immediately calming as she passed through the doorway. It was a library, after all... she wouldn't be wise to make noies and get kicked out. She looked around, and lo and behold, spotted Hikaru standing by with another girl. Riley smiled brightly, approaching them.
"Hikaru!" she greeted, her voice lowered. Glancing at the other girl, she self-consciously smoothed her hands over her hair, inwardly scowling at a knot her fingers grazed. Quickly, she pulled her strawberry-blonde hair out of its pony-tail and fixed it back up, making it prim and neat as her mother had always appreciated. One of the few things from her mother that had rubbed off on her. She held her hand out to the other girl, saying, "Hi, I'm Riley Garraway."\n\n
Hyana jumped about a mile in the air. Not really of course, but to her, it felt like it. Another girl had appeared out of nowhere. She guessed that this was Riley, and sure enough, it was. Riley extended her hand to Hyana. Hyana looked at Riley's hand for a second, and then took it.
"M-my name's Hy-hyana Kamiya...it's v-very nice to meet you." Hyana stuttered. Her slight accent made her words almost impossible to understand. She let go of Riley's hand and looked around at Hikaru.
"I'm sorry...You said that you were going to teach Riley some hexes...I don't want to impose." She said as she stood up. \n\n
Hikaru smiled as Riley came in "Hey Riley!!" he was about to get up when Hyana introduced herself and was begining to leave "Wait! Hyana you can stay and learn it too, it's only a 1st level hex...it was the first one that I ever learned! It's really easy to learn! Even more so then the Levitation Charm! Come on, please stay?" He looked at her with a mix of determination and pleading, his blue eys sparkling in the lamplight. Hikaru grabbed his bag and pulled out his wand "Whatever your desicion is we'll be in the hall outside the library, you can come with us if you'd like to."\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiNo...you can stay...0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Hyana looked around at both Hikaru and Riley nervously. "I just don't think that hexes are allowed. W-wouldn't we be breaking the rules?" She blurted out. She didn't want them to get in trouble, and she had to warn them. She picked up all of her things.
"It was v-very nice to meet you guys. Maybe we can work together in our next c-class." 'If they even want to remember my existence.' Hyana added miserably in her head. She waved goodbye and left the library.\n\n
Riley watched Hyana leave, a little disappointed. She had been so looking forward to having a girl friend. Not that she didn't like Hikaru, or Oliver and Matt, but having a friend her age and gender would be nice. She had yet to make any friends with her own housemates fitting that criteria (no one had approached her in the dorm, unfortunately).
She sighed and turned back to Hikaru, hiking the strap of her bag up on her shoulder. A smile replaced her disappointed expression. "So, what's this hex for? We won't get caught, will we? The hallway seems a little conspicuous... maybe we should find somewhere secluded in the library to practice?" She thought back to this afternoon, and added, "And what happened with you and Professor McKindy in class? Did you get in trouble?"\n\n
Hikaru sighed as Hyana walked away, he had wanted to get to know Hyana better. Riley was awsome but he wanted to make more friends, he turned to face Riley. "I'm not sure about what will happen to me they're still deliberating on my punishement." He listened as she asked him about the hex and he walked into a corner of the library where noone following them "This is called the Viracious Hex..its good for getting the heads up on youe opponent in a wizards duel, it's a first level spell that shouldn't cause too much trouble; the incation is Vicorium, just don't aim it at anyone right now...think of the incantation in your head and I'll practice countering the hex." he thought about it for a minute before closing his eyes and speaking the incantation for the counter hex "Vicario...thats the counter hex."\n\n
Riley pulled out her wand, giving it an experimental flick. It was made of a dark red wood with a lovingly crafted handle that fit snugly in her hand. She waved her wand, thinking over the incantation.
When she thought she had a grasp of the spell, she turned to Hikaru. "Ready?" she asked, her voice soft. She waved her wand, murmuring, "Vicorium!" not knowing what to expect. She really hoped they wouldn't get in trouble, but Charms really just interested her too much for her to worry right then. And she liked spending time with Hikaru.\n\n
Hikaru pulled out his intricate ebony wand, it was carved with an eastern style silver dragon that crawled up to the tip. He waited for Riley to cast the spell and raised his wand to counter it. As she spoke the incantation a sparkling flash of blue light rocketed towards him, he quietly muttered "Vicario!" A shield of emerald light absorbed the spell as it crashed into the barrier. He smiled and began to praise Riley "Awsome job Riley! That was way better then the first time I did it!"\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiAlright, lets do this thing!0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Riley beamed, practically giddy, and brought her hand to her mouth to stifle her giggles. "Thank you!" she said, something like pride swelling in her chest. She was so happy that she'd done it right, beyond happy.
She glanced left and right, peering around the bookshelf they were sequestered away behind. "Do you think anyone saw?" she whispered. She really hoped not; that would put a serious damper on her mood if they were caught.
"Anyway," she turned back to Hikaru, "what is this hex for again?" It had been really amazing, watching the blue light spiral from her wand... she'd never done something of that caliber before, even if it was considered easy in the great scope of hex difficulties. \n\n
Hikaru beamed as Riley thanked him and looked around as well he spoke in almost a whisper "No, I don't think anyone would have seen us, as soon as the spell went into the shiled I blocked out any excess light that might have shown up." He listend carefully as she asked that question "It's kind of like getting hit in ths stomach with a tree trunk." he said with a wicked grin. He carefully asked her "Can I try the actual spell and you can try the counter spell? I want you to do the same thing as I did, just think about the incantation and what it will do..." Hikaru silently repeated the incantation to himself over and over again. He opened his eyes and raised his wand "Ready?" he asked with a grin.\n\n
Riley matched Hikaru's grin, maybe with a little less mischief. She raised her wand again, thinking over the couter-spell... what was it? Vic... Vicario, yeah, that was it. She repeated it in her head a few times, flicking her wrist, and then nodded.
Hikaru smiled as she said "Ready!" he thought of the spell and when he was done his eyes blazed with passion "Vicorium!" the blue orb flowed out of his wand like air and shot towards Riley. he hoped she was ready to deflect it.\n\n
Sorry to interupt the thread, but I just wanted to point out that you both have to keep the post length minimum of 10 sentences. I know that this can be rather difficult at times, but just think about the surrounding, feelings, senses that are all around the characters or the characters' internal thoughts.
This rule is in place in order to help keep the threads going at a steady pace as well as giving each author something to work from and to allow their writing abilities to develop.
Riley raised her wand, eyes widening as the hex came at her. She froze for a moment, heart nearly stopping, but got herself together in time to cast the counter-spell.
"Vicorio!"
The blue light of Hikaru's hex reflected off of her counter, disappearing. She sighed with relief, lowering her wand. "That was a little scary," she admitted. She couldn't imagine what it would be like getting hit in the stomach with a tree trunk, and she was pretty sure she didn't want to know. \n\n
Hikaru smiled brightly as Riley deflected the hex with ease. He listend carefully as she said "That was a little scary". Hikaru thought worridly for a moment 'what if it had hit her? I would be in soooooo much trouble and Riley would probably be mad at me!' He smiled consolingly at her "Hey, you gave it an awesome shot and you deflected it really well! That counter hex can also deflect other minor curses and hexes...so use it when you need to!"
He then thought about what he had said to her about the tree trunk "Don't worry! That is a hard hex to start learning but you did an awesome job! We should probably stop now but, in class tommorow I'll give you a let notebook with a few hexes in them and you can mentally practice them, then when we meet up again it will be a practice session." He looked at her hoping for an ansewer.\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiThats ok...You did GREAT!0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Riley smiled and slipped her wand into her bag, shouldering it thereafter. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear; it had fallen from her pony-tail sometime during their practice. "Thanks so much for the little lesson," she murmured, remembering again to keep her voice down. She was really relieved that they hadn't been caught; though practicing hexes and all was great fun and really very interesting, she didn't want to risk getting in trouble, especially when she had yet to make an impression on so many people! "I'd love to see your notebook," she said, "but maybe we should hold off on the practice sessions for a little?" Riley bit her lip, fidgeting nervously and hoping Hikaru wouldn't be upset. Hurriedly, she pressed on.
"It's not that I don't like practicing with you and all, but you know... aren't hexes sort of...not allowed? I don't want to get in trouble, and I definitely don't want you to get in trouble again!" She looked beseechingly at him, trying to make her point. "We're only first-years still, after all... We shouldn't soil our reputations right off the bat." Her expression brightened with a smile. "This has been awesome, though. You're fun, and I'm really impressed by your knowledge and obvious... passion for hexes... I've never met somebody like you. This definitely won't be the last time we practice hexes, but perhaps we should get settled into Sonora before taking risks like this, yeah?"
Riley took a breath, taking care to lower her voice again when adding, "We could still talk about them though... I'd love to trade secrets with you. In class, out of class, wherever... We both have a passion for charms, you for hexes and me for, well, just the subject in general. Once we're a little more seasoned, maybe after the first midterm or something, we can practice again. Maybe by then we'll have an even better place to do it, somewhere with less risk of being caught." She sighed to herself; she would really miss trying out these hexes, even though she'd only done it once! She just knew there was so much to learn on the subject, but rules had to be kept in mind; it wouldn't do to tramp about the school with no regard for regulations... even if it meant losing some respect from her new friend.
Riley internally winced at the thought. She'd hate to lose Hikaru as a friend! She began to panic at the notion. "We... We're still friends, right? I don't want to upset you, but..." She fidgeted again, feeling suddenly disheartened and very, very torn.\n\n
0Riley GarrawayThanks! But, maybe we should...0Riley Garraway05
Hikaru began packing his bag as well when he heard Riley say "Thanks so much for the little lesson," he smiled as he tucked his wand away "Your welcome! I'm glad I could show you something!" he said as he stood up. Riley asked him if they should hold off on the pracitce sessions "Yeah," he said with a nod and his eyes closed "It would be a good idea to wait for a while, I can come up with some new stuff." he finished with a mischievious grin. He thought to himself 'I should probably tone it down for a while with everything I've been doing, besides everyone probably thinks I'm some kind of psychopath anyway.'
Hikaru looked startled when she looked at him pleadingly and spoke about the practice sessions "No, of course not! Why would I be mad at you! We do have a reputation to keep up." he sighed "Anyway, I think almost everyone here thinks I'm insane and I should probably keep it toned down for a while, otherwise...yeah! We can trade secrets anytime!"
He beamed when she said how knowledgeable he was about hexes "Thanks! Those are probably the only thing I'm good at though! Charms is probably my best subject but, Transfiguration, and DADA is going to be really hard." he said with a sigh.
Hikaru looked even more startled after she asked him if they were still friends "Of course we are! There is no way I would ever stop being friends with you!" he said genuingly beaming "We should sit next to eachother in classes! You can help me out with the basic charms and I can help you out with curses and hexes!" he said laughing.
Hikaru asked Riley with a kind of dispassioned look "Riley, do you think I'm insane?" he asked carefully "You don't have to answer!" he said with a desperate look "It's just that I think that I've given the wrong impression to people today, I got in a fight with some girl in Care of Magical Creatures for being kinda mean to Hyana and I was so weird in Charms...oh what am I going to do!" he said in despair, he fell down on the floor and bent his head down "I only have to have a few study sessions with Professor McKindy, but I think any other Professor would have strung me up by my toenails to the ceiling for a month for what I did..."\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiYeah, thats probably a good idea...0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Riley was so relieved to hear Hikaru agree with her about holding off on their practice. She smiled, and smiled wider when he said that he still wanted to be friends. "Yeah, we should sit next to each other in class!" She nodded, giggling. It sounded like fun.
"Riley, do you think I'm insane?"
Upon hearing that and everything that followed, and watching Hikaru sink to the floor, Riley's delighted expression fell. She dropped down beside him. "No, I don't think you're insane! ...I...can understand how you've given people the wrong impression, but I don't think that has so much to do with your mental state as... well, your culture I guess." Riley drew her knees to her chest, leaning back against a nearby bookshelf.
"You're Japanese, right? From what I've heard and read, Japanese culture is... very different from this culture. Some things, like requesting punishment, are just... lost in translation. These professors probably don't understand your upbringing; they don't understand your culture. So some of the things you do, just because of the way you were brought up, may seem out of this world to them." She smiled, laughing a little. "But I definitely don't think you're insane. You're interesting, but not insane. And setting off that hex in class... may not have been the smartest thing to do, but we're first-years... we're still being shown the ropes. Don't worry so much. If worse comes to worse, you've still got me, yeah?" she teased.

Thank you so much! You are a great Friend
by Hikaru Kasuragi
Hikaru listened to what Riley said and smiled "Thank you Riley, thats the nicest thing I've heard anyone say all day..." He hugged her with one arm "I guess I'm so used to how my culture works that I forget people here don't really know..." He listened to what she said afterwords and laughed "I'm always happy to have you as a friend...I think that I should try to act slightly more American but, around you I just feel like I always want to be myself..." He smiled at her brightly "Just promise me that you'll always be my friend, because I could never leave your side." he said, he took a chain from around his neck and stared at a tiny yin-yang symbol.
He broke it perfectly even and handed Riley the yin side (Light Side) "This shows that we are two haves to an awesome whole!" HE smiled brilliantly at her and waited for a response.\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiThank you so much! You are a great Friend0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Riley smiled, too. "No problem. It's just something I noticed, you know... sometimes it's hard for people to relate to anything outside of their culture. I'm glad you can be yourself around me, because I wouldn't want to spend all this time getting to know someone who wasn't really you." She winked at him, giggling a little and returning the half-hug. "Of course, we'll always be friends."
Riley remembered coming to Sonora unsure as to whether or not she'd find anyone to call a friend; it had been, really, her worst fear. And here she'd already met someone who was quickly becoming close. The thought made her smile more. When Hikaru broke his necklace, at first she was startled, but then upon realizing what it was became pleasantly surprised. First the bracelet and now this! She pocketed the half-charm and resolved to find a chain later to put it on. "Two halves of an awesome whole," she repeated with a nod, and giggled again.\n\n
0Riley GarrawayThick as thieves, indeed.0Riley Garraway05
Hikaru laughed along with Riley "It's been really fun getting to know you too, I've always been afraid that people wouldn't like me, but as long as you do...I don't care if anyone else does!" he said with a huge smile. Hikaru answered softly "I wouldn't have it any other way!"
He smiled as she pocketed the chain and said "Two halves to an awesome whole!" he grinned widely and asked "I almost forgot!" he dug around in his pocket and pulled out two chocolate frogs "Ta-da! This is a victory snack!"
He handed her one and opened his packet eagerly and hexed the frog before it could move "Yay! Victory to me!" he felt Leon buzzing in his pocket and pulled him out "Hey there little buddy!" Leon was a deep blue color and had wide yellow eyes, he looked almost cartoon like.
He raised Leon up and set him on his shoulder while starting to feed him bits of Chocolate Frogs and giggled a little when he purred in pleasure to the chocolate "Riley, this is Leon my puffskien! Isn't he great!"\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiWe'll always be so...0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Riley beamed when Hikaru handed her a Chocolate Frog. "How did you know?" she teased. "These are one of my favorite candies!" Happily, she unwrapped it and cast the levitation charm on it, holding it under her control so that it couldn't hop away. Once it realized that resistance was futile, the frog stopped kicking its legs and Riley ate it, savoring the taste. In between bites, she said, "Victory, indeed."
When Hikaru procured his puffskin, Riley started slightly. Had he been carrying that creature around all day? The idea made Riley giggle a little. "He's adorable! I have a kitten, myself... named Leo, to boot! It's funny their names are similar." She paused, taking another bite of her frog, then added, "Well, Leo the Second, to be more exact." \n\n
Hikaru nodded in agreement "Yep, all of that chocolate and then...you have the awesome trading card inside!" he looked inside the package and saw the Chocolate Frog Card was none other than Albus Dumbledore! Hikaru beamed at it "Albus Dunbledore! I know it's a common card but, I still couldn't find him anywhere! I finally have him...Go me!"
Hikaru looked at her extremely confused "Leo the second? Interesting...very interesting..." he said in a vampiric sort of way, he started laughing "It's been forever since I've laughed this much! Thanks for hanging out with me Riley!" he laughed again and beamed at her "It is always fun to sit with you! We should sit together in DADA and Potions and Transfigurations and, and!" he was soooo excited that he and his friend would have more classes together!\n\n
Riley was laughing, too. She couldn't remember the last time she'd laughed like this, either... and she didn't think she wanted to stop. Laughing always felt good. Being happy felt good. Having a friend felt good. Riley finished her Chocolate Frog, pulling the card out of the wrapper. "Viktor Krum," she said, still smiling. "I've never been much into Quidditch."
She tucked the card away in her robes. "He's Leo the Second because Leo the First was my grandmother's cat. I loved him, and I named my kitten after him." She licked some of the residual sweetness off her fingers, saying, "No, thank you for hanging out with me! Yes, DADA, Potions, Transfiguration, the works! It's too bad we're not in the same house. What class do you think you're going to next?"\n\n
Hikaru laughed a lot harder once Riley started laughing. It felt so awesome to be so cool with someone who wasn't in your family! He had never had another friend except his godfather and his brother occasionally. He looked at Rileys card and his eyes sparkled "I got to go to the Quidditch World Cup in Britan when Bulgaria played against Ireland! It was sooooo amazing there! I had never been to London before and I even got to go visit Diagon Alley! It was sooooo cool being there!" He laughed when Riley said "I've never been much into Quidditch "I'll have to show you how to play! I'm not good at any postition other than Chaser, but maybe I could still show you the basics." he said with a grin.
Hikaru nodded in understanding when she talked about Leo "Thats really cool! I've only had a kitsune-fox as a pet! I think it'd be cool to have a cat."
He smiled "Thanks! It feels awesome to have someone like you to hang out with! I hope we have DADA next together, I can really practice hexes there!" his eyes shone with a bright flame (imaginary people!) "Oh, sorry! I was getting a little carried away there!" he laughed a little.\n\n
0Hikaru KauragiAnd why the Heck would we not be XP!0Hikaru Kauragi05
Riley began to calm a little, yet unable to get rid of her giggles. "You'll show me how to play Quidditch?" She smiled brightly at the thought. "That'd be awesome! My mother and grandmother were never really into sports... my mother considered them a nonsensical waste of time." Though, of course, she'd never really paid much attention to what her mother said. "But, Quidditch! I'd love to learn how to play. Even only the basics." She looked down at her Krum card, and he scowled up at her. "Do you want this?" She offered Hikaru the Chocolate Frog card.
Riley tapped her chin, leaning back into the bookshelf. "DADA, next? I think that'd be fun. That class always sounded so... I don't know, ominous? But if you're there I'm sure I won't feel intimidated in the least!" She laughed. "And I'm sure it'll be the perfect place for your hexes, indeed. Maybe we can get the teacher to start something for that."
She stretched her legs out in front of her, smoothing the wrinkled denim of her jeans. "It's all right to get carried away. It shows that you're passionate about whatever you're getting carried away with, right?" Riley yawned a little, fingering her bracelet. "Well, maybe we ought to get going. I want to head back to my house... We should meet somewhere. In DADA, when the class starts?" she suggested.\n\n
Hikaru giggled to himself as well "Sure! I'm not very good at the complicated stuff but, I am good at the basics! Thats horrible about your mother! I considered them a good form of training." he smiled at her with a wink. Hikaru was amazed when she offered him the card "Thank you so much!" he said pocketing it "I don't have this card anymore." he dug around in his pocket and handed her a Merlin card "I have loads of him and I know that Charms was one of his favorite things!"
Hikaru laughed when she said ominus "Bring it on! I've had to deal with three angry Professors today, how bad can this one be?" he smiled brightly and sighed from exhaustion. "Yeah, it will be a good place for hexes! I can actually impress the Professor! We will have to get a Hex Group started though! We can be the leaders!" Hikarus eyes burned with a fiery passion.
Hikaru nodded along with what she said "Thanks for being there for me Riley, I've never really had that before..." He gave her a full on hug "I will always be there for you and once I learn how to do a Protean Charm you can call me whenever! Lets meet in DADA and sit in the front of the class! Then I can stare down the Professor!" he laughed and folded his arms behind his head "I can't wait for tommorow though! My godfathers sending me a fox pup! I am soooooo happy!" he practically jumped up into the air.\n\n
0Hikaru KasuragiYou have that right!0Hikaru Kasuragi05
Being relatively new to RPGs as I know some of you are, here's a friendly tip from a comparative veteran; it makes life a lot simpler if, once your posts extend so far out that a scroll bar appears in the bottom of the window, you return to the top of the thread and continue it from there. Just an idea. Now back to posting!
Riley smiled when Hikaru handed her the Merlin card. "Hey, thanks! You're sweet, you know that?" She too pocketed her card, then laughed. "A Hex Group! I like the sound of that. I'm sure you'll especially feel right an home in DADA. Sounds like your sort of thing. I'm excited for it, myself, naturally."
When Hikaru gave her the hug, Riley returned it warmly. "No problem. That's what friends do, right? We watch each other's backs. DADA is going to be a blast... sit in the front?" She giggled madly, thinking about Hikaru staring down the professor. "That'll be great." She sat for a moment longer, and then let loose a soft sigh. She stood up and smoothed her hands down her clothes, picking up her bag and slipping it over her shoulder.
She tilted her head as Hikaru mentioned his soon-to-be fox pup and grinned. "Awww... you'll have to show him to me when you get him! Or her. You know." Her grin dimmed to a pretty smile, and she turned to go. "I'm gonna head back to my house now," she said, "but I'll meet you in DADA when class starts, yeah?" She waved and left the library, the traces of a giddy smile still on her face.\n\n
