"Hey," she said quietly as she found Sally looking around the library. Standing just outside the door, she hadn't spent a lot of time looking, but just enough to make her sure that she didnt' know anything at all about how this place worked. Mia was behind her she thought, as they had left together, but she go so confused looking for this place that she would have left her own head in one place and forgotten completely if it wasn't firmly stuck on her shoulders. Looking around, she saw no one except for Sally, but there had to be a librarian somewhere around here. Afterall, This couldn't be as weird as to not have a librarian to keep this place up... or could it?\n\n
Mia followed closely behind Liz as they entered the library. It was awful quiet in here and no one seemed to be around.
"Guys? Shouldn't there be a librarian here since this is a library." Mia asked as she continued to look around but made sure to be near her friends.\n\n
"You'd think..." she sarcasitcally replied with a grin. "Maybe we can just browse around on our own. I mean, we're 11 for goodness' sakes, lets just poke around. It's a library afterall, what harm can we cause looking for a book in a library?"
"Oh, and did Tally come? I think we could use any help we can get. The more the merrier, I always say." Mia stopped herself before she began to nervously ramble. People could quickly become annoyed by nervous rambling. She was also really hoping she hadn't hurt Tally's feelings for not calling her over earlier.\n\n
Tally finally found the library, out of breath and panting from having to run. She had gotten lost and somehow fell through a wall and into a dark passageway. She had no idea where she was by the time she had gotten out of it and was completely turned about.
"Sorry guys, I'm late. I got lost. Small school, still confusing." She said to Sally and Mia, only then noticing the girl beside her. Smiling, "Hi, I'm Tally. You must be Elizabeth that Sally told me about."\n\n
Mia laughed as she watched Tally come in, panting and rambling. She was relieved Tally found her way.
"We're going to poke around the books a bit. I'm going o try over there." Mia said, pointing to a section of the Library not too far away from where the four girls stood.
"I suppose we should split up and cover more ground for some helpful books. I mean, I've never been much of a planner but I think it might be a good idea." Mia told her friends. She was starting to second guess herself and she wanted to smack herself to shut up. She thought better of it though because her friends might find it very weird if she smacked herself out of the blue.\n\n
"Yes, I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz. Or Lizbeth, or Lizabeth, whatever comes to your tounge first." Elizabeth grinned. "So you're Tally, I gather? Nice to meet you. What house are you in? I'm in Pecari. We could even be in the same house and not even know it!" she added with a positive additude, twirling a ebony strand of hair between her fingers. \n\n
Tally swiped away her now completely messy long dark brown hair from her face. Finally catching her breath she smiled and her green eyes lit up at Elizabeth.
"Yup, I'm Tally. Excuse my appearance, but I stumbled on some passageway and fell flat on my face quite a few times. Hurt quite a bit too, actually." She said as she absentmindedly rubbed her elbow. "er, I'm in Teppenpaw. Maybe we'll end up in class together or something." Tally said with a hopeful smile.\n\n
Tally looked at Mia for a second, trying to figure out what she was suppose to be doing. Her mind was still elsewhere.
"Okay, so remind me again what I'm suppose to be looking for? I know it has to do with princessness and stuff, but am I looking for a spell or something?" Tally felt stupid for having to ask, but she figured it was probably better to ask now rather than later.\n\n
Mia walked off to the section where she had pointed to. She began peeking through the levels among levels of books.
Mia skimmed over book titles that seemed to jump out at her from the shelves.
"Hmm..Jinxes for the Jolly, Party Hardy: A guide to your special fun spells and pranks, and Hex Happy: for all those who are truly hex happy. These could probably work." Mia said as she took the books from the shelves. She took the volumes over to a comfy chair and plopped herself down. She pick up the first book and began to skim.
Afte a few minutes of aimless searching Mia began to slowly lose heart.
'How in the world am I supposed to find anything here? There's so much!! Mia thought to herself and hoping her friends were having better luck than her.
"We're looking for things having to do with princesses or spells to make things more princesslike basically. If you want a more confident answer, I'd ask Liz or Sally. It was there idea. I'm just really grateful for the help." Mia smiled and turned back to skimming through the oceans of random jinxes and spells in her book.\n\n
Rifling through her third or fourth book, Elizabeth sighed deeply. This search for pink and fluffy tranformation spells was not turning out well for her. Deciding that she ought to just take a look at one last book, she flitted through the shelves, scanning titles. At last, a book caught her eye: Pink and Proud: Every spell any Cosmopolitan Girl needs to know.
"What is our world coming to?" Elizabeth thought as she retreated to her comfy chair, the thick pink leather-bound book sitting in her lap. \n\n
